Do you think American should ban family nudist colonies, by just making it legal only for adults ages 18 and older?

I was shocked when I heard about certain nudist colonies that has families bringing their children. I don't agree with that. Plus whenever someone wants to type in nudist colony in google's search engine and click on the word "image", it can show some of the nudist that don't look fully grown (which would make you think that's illegal & didn't click on the pics, knowing he/she only ment to look at legal grown adults at nude colonies on the internet)

Anyway, do think for now on, families can't no longer take their children to a nudist colony? That's what I wish

If you actually took the time to research it, there is more safety at most nude resorts than at any given public park or beach. Nude resorts in the USA that are affiliated with the American Association for nude recreation, adhere to strict ethics. ALL adult visitors must provide vali ID to run a baground check on Megan's Law and other such data basses. If you're on a sex offender data base then you don't come in! You will be ejected from the premises if you are making unwanted advances to others, Having sexual physical contact with anyone including yourself in a public area, (keep it in your room, tent or RV} And for taking pictures. Because resorts are fenced private property it would be very difficult to abduct a child. You have none of these safety features at your local park. As for the girl that brought up insest and "REDNECK stuff" That makes absolutely no sense! Incest is between family member. Those kind of sick individuals would do that at home in secret or at the home of some else as sick. Not at a resort where they would be caught. Resorts are much safer than most churches, public parks and schools.

No, why should theory be? It is a non sexual environment and the kids usually have a great time. This may seem shocking to some people but I have never seen any more of an issue from families that go than from any other environment they might take their kids.

All of the nudist resorts we attend are family nudist resorts and members of AANR. There have never been any sexual assaults at any of them to our knowledge. The members are very protective of the women and children.

Your statements make me believe you have never been to a nudist resort, nudity does not equal sexual.

i live in a small town in Louisiana so no I've never been to one; my town would never have a nudist colony because it's a bible belt

They are all over the Bible belt. We live in a state adjoining Louisiana and a part of the Bible belt, just saying. New Orleans, LA isn't exactly known for its modest attire.

Most in our state are in small towns, not the major metropolitan centers.

No, I think it's the individual families business whether they do or not. What does it matter? If the kids grow up that way they are used to it anyways and I don't see a problem with it.

Actually, Adults that grew up as kids attending nude resorts usually tell of gaining a healthier attitude about sex, and certainly not harboring deep curiosities that warped them.

Rape and incest happen at home, school, church, scouting camps, sleepovers at a friends, etc. At least nude resorts screen visitors and don't allow them to stay if they show up on a sex offender list. Plus they are gated private property making it hard to getaway with an abducted child Most resorts ban photography. If the child is a victim of incest what does a resort have to do with it. the sick offender is a family member who has access to the child wherever they are.

First, they haven't been called colonies since the 50s and 60s. They are clothing optional resorts. Second, I grew up going those resorts and think it made me a lot more confident and less judgmental of others. Third, I think they should be accessible to all ages.

Yes it should be 18 and up. Anyone that says otherwise wise is a weirdo. Any adult that’s chooses to go to a resort where there are children walking around and playing in the nude is a pedo. Just look up Donald and Jodie Gordon if you think a family nudist resort is a safe place for children. Saying they check ids and do background checks doesn’t make it any safer. No. Because nudity per se isn't sexual. Anything per se sexual should be banned for children. But nudity isn't one of them. But you should certainly be extra careful when taking your kids to anywhere like that.

I live in a culture where nude public hot spring baths are normal. No one's ever come onto me even when I wasn't with my parents

Actually I know of only one case of a problem such as this. It was a kid that snuck into a resort and was found masturbating while watching kids there, The police were called and hauled him away. So the problem was an outsider, not the participants at the resort. The nudists want to protect their resorts and would call the cops quicker than people would outside of the resort.
