I know that guys are lot more open to trolling on the internet than girls but so far, I've been observing female trolls lately on GAG and surprisingly, it's more than I think.

I just read a MyTake about how not all men don't think about sex and a lot of female trolls have the nerve to have some confirmation bias towards men and hear what they only want to believe. It pisses me off.

Trolls rarely create accounts that accurately reflect their age, sex and location. Just because a pink or a blue head appears next to the post, don't taker that as any indication as to who is in front of the keyboard / touchscreen at the other end.

Contrary to what some might believe though, there are lots of women out there who troll, one of the most notorious trolls in the UK was tracked down recently and turned out to be a very prim, polite 60 year old woman, it seems there is no real pattern to who might be trolls in terms of age, sex or socio economic background, they really can be anyone. And none of them can offer any real explanation as to why they do it beyond 'I was bored'.

It seems your definition of troll may need some explanation. People use the word troll to describe others who just don't agree with them nowadays. It's a pathetic way to discredit someone's view and usually used by people who just do not have the intelligence to discredit the argument in any other way.

There are trolls who like to pretend they believe what the say for the shits and giggles and then there are the other trolls who do genuinely believe what they say but make no fucking logical sense with their rants and points and believe what they only want to hear.

All the trolls are usually anonymous so I couldn't tell you who they are anyways. There's no way to tell their actual gender anyways since it could be a man posing as a woman or vice versa. Gender and age are self reported here when you sign up so they could just make it all up.

There are A LOT of irrational opinions and they don't have to agree with yours, but that doesn't mean that they're trolling.

If a woman said--while answering a question pertaining to a situation that would befit her answer--that she doesn't trust ANY man and she thinks they're all liars, how is that Trolling when she's being honest about her feelings?

If someone puts out their OPINION and it isn't to purposely entice people, that's not Trolling. Look at the definition. The definition is speaking of someone that is saying offensive things on PURPOSE to anger people.

Someone putting forth their opinion--even though it's irrational--is NOT Trolling.
