@Ephemera1 Somali words overlap with egyptian arabic more than classical. Maybe it's because we standardized abdullah with a kasra at the end. Like we say Abdirashid rather than Abdulrashid.
It might also be because we add an -i, -ti or a -ki for when we're saying "the". So instead of saying sareer (bed) we say sareerti (the bed). Could be any reason, language is cool
I don't know too many newfies, and, one of the ones I *do* know is a man who makes half-hour jokes CONSTANTLY (in classic "dad joke" fashion). ... So maybe I'm overestimating the currency of that joke in general, lol

Im irish so its difficult to actually insult me racially, ethnically or with sectarianism. Iridh memes tend to be true and funny as well. Its only Americans I find who are oversensitive to everything.
