no, they can fuck right off. you're never that desperate unless something's off.
i had a guy try this once. i was 16 and home alone during the summer. my best friend was with me; we were leaving and had just locked the door when this dude, who was easily 10 years older, came up, asked us if we'd let him in for a drink of water...
my parents had taught me how to deal with strangers, so i said no. when he asked for my name, i gave a fake one (thankfully my best friend picked up on it and did the same) but held firm on my 'no'.
he eventually left, and my best friend and i ran to her house as fast as we could. something tells me that, had i let this guy into my house, things would have ended very differently and i might not be here today to tell about it.42 Reply- +1 y
would you have sex with a stranger?

@not-your-virgin nope; i don't know him, therefore i have no idea if or not he's clean /is cheating on his partner/whatever.

Um probably not. You are putting yourself at risk by letting a stranger into your house, you could be letting a thief or murderer just waltz right into your home without any effort. I know we are all suppose to love one another like God says to, but at the same time He understands that people are crazy and evil intentions these days. It sucks cause when one bad apple is on the tree, no body ever wants to go back to that tree to get apples.

O now that i thought about it, what if my car breaks down and someone is chasing me and I run to the nearest house, knock on the door and ask for help.. and they just slam the door in my face! lol

Well I think most people would help here in Norway.
The country is essentially a single huge coast line.
And helping people who are in distress wasn't even questioned.
After all chances are that you'd end up having to seek emergency shelter or that you'd get ship wrecked yourself at some point or other in your life.
So better help if you ever want any in return.
And not helping wouldn't be Christian or some such. - +1 y
@Losalt I don't think thats really fair to say its not christian. Yes everyone is suppose to help those in need like people who are poor and sickly but God knows and understands that we at some point have to protect ourselves and our family against intruders/evil. Self defense is not wrong, it is not intentionally or willful wanting to hurt someone. Ezekiel 33 "... 6 'But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand.'

Honestly I'm an atheist so I don't really care much.
That said many early Christians died for what they believed in.
Heck many people did for pacifism too, something I *do* believe in.
You can argue up and down about religion as much as you like, but at the end of they day it's cowardly to withhold aid to those in need for imaginative dangers... - +1 y

Hell no ! Lol
I'd never let a stranger enter into my home. S/he may be casing the joint lol
They'd have to go elsewhere or just go behind a bush or tree lol40 Reply

No I have a hard time trusting people. if it was 50 years ago maybe lol. I think with the time changing people are becoming less trustworthy I remember a story from my Grandpa about his car breaking down in the middle of a snow storm going to work traveling on country roads. He walked to the nearest farmhouse and they let him use this phone like it was nothing.

no because last time, the stranger was lying and attempted to kill me but i quickly did a round-house heel kick on his neck and he died, then ninjas spawned in my living room and i grabbed my dragonslaying sword and killed them all. Never let a stranger into ur home.

To those who said yes. Please check your bathroom windows afterwards! This is a method people use for cases houses they want to rob and often will unlock a first story bathroom window for easy access later.
Excuse my paranoia. My city has a high rate of break ins and you can never be too careful!20 Reply at my apartment sure, because it's all college students, and I have five other roommates so it's not like my private bathroom. besides we have 2 so I'd let them use the other bathroom. if I lived alone or at home with my parents no, because it's not in apartments so it would be weird if a person stoped by, and I wouldn't trust them.

Nowadays... I'm sorry but I can't help but say, who's stupid enough to let a complete stranger in? Especially for girls who live alone, the risk of being raped/murdered/and whatnot far outweighs strangers peeing their pants.

would you have sex with a stranger?
if i'm not expecting someone to come over, i never open the door - even for friends, because i was always taught it was rude to stop by unannounced. because of that, it's a slim chance i would ever let a stranger come into my house to use the bathroom.
10 ReplyThere is literally a very visible 711 gas station right behind my house. So if someone actually knocked on my door and asked me that, I would know that taking a shit definitely isn't a top priority for them. Casing my bitch more like.
20 ReplyNo there's a club house in my apt building with a restroom, they can use that

I only allow people that I personally know into my house. Especially if they are gonna take piss or a shit.
20 Reply There's no possible scenario in which my home is the closest toilet in an emergency, due to where I live.
Now, how do we combine this with your graveyard question...20 Reply- +1 y
If someone waddles up and knocks on the door and asks to use the bathroom, they're desperate. Nobody wants to do that to a total stranger, you have to be absolutely desperate.
One of these days, you'll be desperate for a stranger's help.10 Reply If it was emergency ofc. I believe in the rule "Treat others how you want to be treated". If I had diahorea and couldn't go anywhere else then I would want them to help me therefore I would help them.
