that they are probably muslim?
to me its no different than a cross or a red band. its just religious stuff. doesn't really meam anything to me beyond that.
now if you had asked burqa i would say i feel suspicious, defensive and uncomfortable. in a hijab you can easily see a persons face. in a burqa you see basically nothing. i don't trust people who hide their face.12 Reply- +1 y
Yes i know, even in a muslim country we have fears of people wearing burqa because you have no idea who that is. I mean, it's illegal to wear a mask but then a burqa? But on the other hand i got to know people who wear it and they are super nice but it's still fearful to approach someone you can't see. Just like adding someone on social media when they have no picture haha you have to take a guess on who it could be

I think they are fine but i woildnt approach a girl to ask for her number if she had a hijabi. I don't know why but i feel like it pulls me into their beliefs if something were to happen between us and im not intrested in that situation. But I have nothing against them and often they look good on girls :)

Yes i understand because after all if you fall in love with a hijabi and want to spend the rest of your life with.. It becomes complicated so if you have no intention of discovering what islam is, just approach them as a friend nd nothing more. But as a friend there's no problem, really don't be scared to talk to them

I wouldn't walk up to a girl on the street in a hijab just to ask if we could be friends is what im saying but i have no negative mentality towards islam like most of the people that replied. If we met through some sort of class or whatever i might consider to be friends with them. But yeah thats just how things are right now.
A woman’s hair has always been a symbol of beauty so when I see a hijabi, I see a woman who’s dedicated to something bigger than that, her faith. I also see someone who wants their personality seen before their looks. I have respect for that, however, sometimes I see women who wears extremely provocative clothing AND the hijab and to me, that makes no sense.

Yes i see, i also am curious about people who wear more than the hijab because it was never mentioned in Islam.. But yes it's exactly what you said. I want to show my bzauty my hair and all that but my faith is more important and i prefer being appreciated for who i am before how i look
+1 yI don´t want to offend anyone, I´m just honestly saying how I feel about that and I feel like if my mom wasn´t islamophobic, it´d be different. But when I see a hijab, I usually think about them having strickt values and parents, believing in Allah (as an atheist I´m against every god) and yea my attitude to that is not the best...

I know a muslim girl in my grade with a hijab and I really like her, she´s really cute. Tho do the aspects fit to her life. I don´t hate muslims or anyone, anyone from anywhere can be a good or bad person. I just think that those aspects with religion and parenting etc can be guessed through them wearing a hijab if you know what I mean. That´s like wearing a police uniform tells people, the officers are against all illegal and try to solve crimes. I don´t know if that´s a good analogy but yeah :D

+1 yI don't really think anything? A lot of my coworkers wear hijabs so I may just be used to it but I don't think it's ever really bothered me. It's not as if it affects me at all, y'know? :P But hey, looks kinda pretty, has deeply religious and personal meaning so I guess I'm all for it.

+1 yIf you wear it for a religious reason, then you can't dress provocatively, and that's what most Muslim girls do, they ignore everything else but no my hijab is my pride, laughing my ass off, but you know just like all Muslims, they are kidding themselves

Its a part of the population that fundamentally disagrees with our culture. So our laws, values, language and so on. This means that as a society we can not live together. That doesn't automatically apply to people practising the faith but most immigranrs here disagree with us on society and as a result dont integrate.
The people in power from the EU know this and use it to there advantage by creating two kinds of propeganda. Internally by showing us how difficult refugees have it and them how they can have a better life here. Which means we purpusely get a lot of economic migrants who refuse to integrate because we do not align in world view causing increased devision between society.
This devision is dangerous because it means a few things when it gets out of hand. First of all it will make democracy fail because there is a to large diversion of opinion watering down the will of its citizens. - +1 y
The second problem is that if you have multiple groups in disagreement on a small country this creates a lot if tention in society which when going out of hand can lead to civil war. If there are to many and they try to turn this nation into an islamic country the native population will likely see that as a threat and start atracking the islamic people to banish them our by force if they dont leave. A fight like that can only be settled if they leave or trough governamental oppression such as hate speech crimes etc.
You already notice the trend of muslims being victimised and hate speech anti freedom laws implemented to protect them so we can no longer express ourselves on the matter.
So while i dont have an issue with islam i do have an issue with alternative main cultures in my country as that is often the end of democracy and harmony but sadly most people are to brainwashed to accept thus reality.
+1 yMy mom is one and she's beautiful. My man's mom and sisters are hijabis and they're beautiful. I just see beauty. Your face is your ultimate canvas, not your hair so keeping it covered doesn't take away your beauty more so enhances it in a way.

+1 yTbh most the people I see wearing them use ones with pretty patterns so my thoughts are usually on how cute the pattern is, in general I think wearing one is admirable (because it shows their devotion to their faith) and in our current society very brave.

You're righ but, all of whta you mentionned is what i do as a religious person it's automatic but the message still doesn't go through. I've never been bad to anyone, never insulted anyone or got mad at anyone. I'm only spreading good energy and great advices but then some media comes and ruins people's opinions. I don't like being treated differently i find it ignorant
I think of an alien culture that has no respect for me. Muslims hide behind gowns, hijabs, and beards, which indicates how closed-minded they are to everyone else.
11 Reply- +1 y
One, a muslim man doesn't need a beard it is just that arabic men are generally hairy, due to high levels of testosterone so don't talk about something you ignore. Two, hijab is a choice and a hijabi is not different, she just prefers God's appreciation than people's. Then finally, islam is the easiest religion to practice if you take a look at Jews and Christians (I'm talking about those who go with the Bible not those who just claim to be catholic) so your answer is just ignorant sir.
+1 yI think they look kinda nice, I've seen some very pretty decorative ones. I don't really think of it other than noticing it's there

Well my automatic assumption could be wrong. As far as I'm aware it's not just Muslim women that cover their hair. Though, it's seldom that someone else does nowadays.

A muslim doesn't hate anyone, really. Those who make the acts of hate are just doing it in the name of islam. It's like someone hating on everyone then saying oh hey I'm American, then everyone think America hates everyone? I truly believe that people don't like muslim for this reason when muslims are really just peaceful people who can't hate. (in Islam it say you cannot go to heaven if you hate someone)
That she’s a moslim
