Why are my sister's legs so soft, when mines aren't?

So I've always loved my girlfriend's soft skin... I always wondered why it was so soft, but always just assumed it was good genetics.

But my sister came to visit the other day... and we were just sort of playing around in my house, playfully insulting each other and running around. And when my sister went to lay down, I went to slap her on her leg just like I did when we were younger... immature I know, but it's what we do. Be aware, she was wearing shorts, mid-thigh length, so I felt her bare leg. And as soon as I slapped it, I noticed her leg was REALLY soft.

And she was like, "Hey! I'm gonna get you back, you asshole son of a bitch! You're not getting away with it, that really hurt!" And then I was like, "Wait, let me feel your leg." And she was like, "So you can slap it again? No way! Kiss my ass!" And then I responded, "I did it for old times sake, but I noticed something about your leg. Can I please feel it again to make sure?" And she was reluctant but was like, "Alright... but if you pull anything again, I'll kick you out of your own house, and me and your girlfriend will have an awesome party without you!" Then I just started to gently feel her legs, and it was confirmed, they really were THAT soft.

I was then like, "Wow, dang, how are your legs so soft? We're siblings, when we were younger our skin felt the exact same! Why is mine not nearly as soft anymore?" And she was like, "Wow, I never thought anyone really found my legs that soft. But maybe because I shave while your legs are hairy?" But that's not it. Because even when I shaved, they're not nearly as soft as my sister's legs.

So why... how could it be... when we were younger our skin was just as soft. Why is mine so much more rough in comparison to my sister's NOW?

I could understand my girlfriend having super soft skin, but not my sister... when I was younger I never noticed her skin being super soft, but now I do. Why is that?
