Good observation. I think it's because a lot of that stuff isn't productive, and is superficial and vain. You'll never hear a man complaining about a women making something, for instance cooking, knitting, quilting, photography, or making art.
They've been taught that doing feminine things themselves is "gay" which is "shameful" when a lot of things considered feminine shouldn't even be gendered.

It's not all guys, but the loud, insecure king baby types will always be hypercritical of women no matter what they do. What puzzles me is why women go for guys like that. They bring nothing but misery to life , but they always find plenty of foolish women who somehow believe they have a future with Mr. Douche. what a tragedy.
A guy does not want his masculinity to be judged or come off as soft. However, he likes to see his love/partner as something cute and feminine. Some dudes are not into girls with a manly side and want something cute and cuddly, again not all though!
the majority of the time it's because guys are stupid and want everything at once Even tho what they say is contradictory. For example a guy will say he wants a girl who is feminine but then bash on feminine things because he wants his girl to be able to fulfill his idea of beauty without wearing makeup and high heels. he wants her to be feminine not necessarily the way she dresses to be feminine.
I think I prefer moderation of it. Of course I want a feminine girl at times, I just have a problem when she seems superficial with it if that makes sense.
Jewellery - men also wear it Makeup - men wear it too Dresses - in the past everyone did Heels - they were actually made for men
The essence of feminity is not how you can make yourself feminine BUT that you are feminine in your DNA encoding. Nothing can ever change it. It was chosen at the moment of conception.
I mostly agree, though would debate femininity and masculinity are exemplified by behaviours and preferences according to how the majority define these terms at the time. These behaviours and preferences can be learned through cultural interaction, for example you see a beautiful woman who is beautiful and doing the things she listed, you want to feel beautiful and mimic her to do so, which exemplifies your femininity by wearing dresses that show off your skin, make up that shows off your beautiful face, heels to show off your ass and make you easier to kiss, and jewelry to... yeah, you got me on that one, I don't care much for jewelry on both men and women.
I'd personally add getting nails done to this list, men already do it, and tbh I wouldn't mind doing it, I feel like having painted nails would be cool af.
Beautiful woman who is doing the things the asker listed*
To add to things that exemplify femininity, getting your hair done in a girl style and things like how you hold yourself, how you walk, how you look at others, can all play into how feminine others see you as being.
Not true. You know what exemplify means, correct? Further, You seem to prefer things you find comfortable to things that would change other peoples opinions about you. A typically more masculine trait but not out of place in women. It doesn't make you less feminine, but can make you seem less feminine to others. I do agree that everything except for dresses are poor examples of expression of femininity, dresses today are typically designed solely for the female body and almost always look comical or pathetic on men.
Maybe biologically there is something wrong with me that I don't really buy in looking feminine but doing what I think makes sense through personal experience.
Lol I would be shunned in the past for such a aggressive and open mind. Women weren't allowed to have opinions.
I dont think there is anything biologically wrong with you for behaving that way.
Whether or not you would be shunned like that depends on the culture you came from. Every culture has different standards of masculinity and femininity, there is not set standard worldwide. Which is a large part of why you can be feminine while seeming masculine to others.
Also, to backtrack a little, you mentioned femininity in your dna, but I don't see how we can measure that except by saying you're either male or female, or an exception to the rule. Feminine and masculine are just words that describe things that are typically associated with either women or men.
Sorry if I seem rude by the way, I just enjoy debating people I see as intelligent. I agree with what you're saying, I just feel like there are things that make you come across as more feminine/masculine.
@devilman666 I think you are born with both feminity/masculinity and gender. It explains why certain children act like the opposite gender, and feel like they are in the wrong body.
I really think xneoestrogens have a big role in this.
As the fetus is susceptible to hormones more than the mother is. And we surrounded by them. It really explains biologically the reason what is happening to society right now.
I beg to differ about feminity is decided at conception. Boys and men both are subjected to being pushed to be gay homosexual by parents and other people until the boys and men give in and become homosexual a lot of times. I refuse and resent these actions, to force me to become a homosexual, I never will!
@warmapplecumble, the research is out there for parents that have boys but wanted girls so they dress the boys up in girl closes and make the boys prance around as girls, with makeup and wigs. some of the feminist is started and pushed on boys to be homosexuals by parents and other people. Why did you delete my comment when it is a fact that you want to coverup and denied. It can be change and has been changed. Just because you disagree, it's still facts. They have even shown on tv parents parading boys as girls with parents big smiles happy that their son is dressed and prancing around as a girl more that real girls do.
All the feminine products, contain feminine hormones, birthcontrol pills, feminine hormones supplements that women excrete as waste goes into our Water 💧 system that isn't filtered out changes male to have too much estrogen and can turn men to being gay. Male fish turn into female fish from all the female hormones in our water supplies. This is all facts. PBA causes a lot of health problems, your being very narrow minded and refusing all facts. Look it up it is all real facts. People push men to become gay if they want sex because men are refused sex by women. That is a fact too. You must allow all facts. Not just the ones you demand to push on men!
No you demanded a persons sexuality whether they are gay or straight is determined in the womb in their DNA, that is false there is a whole host of influences after berth not in the DNA that decides if a person is going to be straight or gay. You didn't state the things I stated. Your trying to take credit for what I stated.
I"m not having ego, this goes right back to what I have stated in previous post, that women demand they are always right and men are always wrong. If a man disagrees with a woman then the woman demand the man has an ego problem or he is a bad guy. I made a statement why you aren't right with facts and you say I have ego problem. So who really has the ego problem? You could have just let me be right with the facts I presented.
I already mentioned about xneoestrogens affecting human embryo...
I really don't think nurture would effect us as more as nature. Its just the gene expression is probably there and the nurture turns the epigenetics on.
But... I do however believe we have a huge problem with xneoestrogens.
Feminity is not makeup and high heels. That is very stupid to even think that.
And as to women winning or men.. I don't really care. I am here to give opinion.
Nothing in the whole universe is absolute truth. You as a mere human can't even prove your existence let alone defend my answer.
Everything I stated has nothing to do with the xneoestrogens affects on the embryo. The sex is determined in the womb whether female or male, but some people are born with both male and female genitals too then they have to decide if they are going to be a male or female or both. Whether a person is gay or straight is learned not decided in the womb.
@Warmapplecrumble so are you saying you are more than just a mere human? You put me down for being a mere human. So you know everthing about humans and the whole universe. That is what you where stating. Talk about ego.
Maybe cause they can't see themselves or other guys being feminine. They don't like it. Some of them may think that guys should stay like guys and girls should stay like girls. I think the stereotype of girls being weaker than guys comes into play as well.
They may correlate "playing dress-up" with not being adventurous. Maybe they're projecting their own gender insecurities onto the female. Perhaps they are actively attempting to portray themselves as not being superficial, but are overplaying their hand and bluffing. They actually sound pompous and arrogant... maybe some person gender/sexual orientation conflicts. I don't know. Dont waste your time.
If guys like femininity why do they often bash feminine/girly things? *I don't. It is an expression of style. Just not necessary all the time.
This is PURELY a appearance thing and not about behavior by the way. *No it is not. You act like you look. Clean up and dress up a "wino" and he will ACT differently.
Sometimes guys bash feminine things just for fun, other times, to bolster their masculinity. Sometimes, because the feminine things, because it's done over the top, etc.
See the first of all let me make it clear that all the heterosexual guys appreciate feminity there is not one heterosexual guy that will say that they don't like feminity but thing is that and i mean it in a simple way no shade but sometimes women overdo it... now a days people often mistake a lady who is being clingy to her feminine traits.. now this is sure for a fact that one must take care of themselves and do whatever they feel gives them joy coz only then you are are really you and a guy should like you for that. So the bottom line is there is not a single guy won't want his patner to take care of themselves and look good.
I honestly don't know why some men don't like women wearing makeup, feminine clothing and accessories. I'm fortunate enough that my boyfriend loves it when I get dressed up for him when we go out, he tells me when he thinks that I look pretty or he likes the way my perfume smells or the dress that I'm wearing for the occasion. He also gets a kick out of messing up my makeup when he kisses me, smearing my lipstick all over the place. LOL It's hilarious and I enjoy it.
We bash cuz in reality, we are afraid of the feminine nature to be seen through us and for other guys to call us queer. we love you and want to have the type of love and care that you do give out, but we fear your disapproval so we quickly show our defencive side to be safe. Not forgetting that you also bash male things as it is only human nature to be defencive about our insecurities due to the MF Ego. It's not easy to come out of the closet to say one is gay as the fear of wide disapproval is higher than the approval.
For me what matters in physical appearance is the shape of the face and to a lesser degree general shape of the body. Those things are something make-up and all the things you mentioned can't change. Thats why i think these things are a bit silly especially when they take a lot of effort or are uncomfortable. Besides these things simply aren't inharently feminine. If the custom was that women had short hair then that would be considered "feminine" same goes for clothes and shoes. another words i like femininity in a women not some random stuff, declared to be feminine, on her.
I really can say it any better than @Benedek38 , he hit the nail on the head! Essentially there is a line. Makeup, jewellery, certain clothing, getting nails done, etc is all attractive up until a point. When it becomes excessive or even obsessive, it devalues any natural beauty that that individual may have.
I don't know but i think that femininity isn't the same thing as being a girly girl. I think they like the submissive and nurturing nature rather than the high maintenance and superficial women.

Unless it's the same guys saying it, it doesn't mean much.
I commonly say I don't like makeup. But I also don't like too girly.
Plus, something like makeup is very different than things like nails, heels, etc. It doesn't have to be all or none.
the majority of the time it's because guys are stupid and want everything at once Even tho what they say is contradictory. When is femininity linked to wearing:

@devilman666
I wear a dress because its comfortable
I don't wear makeup.. as it's uncomfortable
I don't wear heels as its uncomfortable
This must mean I am not feminine.

@MM442 research the effects of xneoestrogens like plastic bpa on child sex when in the womb.
Scientific community long knew this, many published journals on thos matter.
The information is out there.

honestly, i don't think i can either... but ima try... that cunt benedek (lol) said everything. pictures too. I want him on my team... lol
Just realised there that i put "can" instead of "can't" haha and good luck!
It's probably some men that say they like a certain thing, and some men that say they like another. We aren't made up of one homogenous opinion.
Although, living with women almost my whole life I've noticed that a lot of the shit you do isn't to impress men at all. It's to impress other women.
I don't know but i think that femininity isn't the same thing as being a girly girl. I think they like the submissive and nurturing nature rather than the high maintenance and superficial women.
Mayne it sounds strange but could it be that some guys have diffrent taste? Nah I have no idea whay are we talking about
