So this is in relation to my question Why did I get weird looks at the gym?


So the 3 guys that showed up at the gym are still there.

I asked around and a lot of the females feel extremely uncomfortable and say that they saw them talk to a girl the first day they were there and she hasn't shown up for her training, I asked her trainer and she said that the girl was never late and never missed a day. I asked her friend and she said that her friend hasn't left the house for a day or two and won't answer the phone and rarely answers texts.

Then i asked a staff member about them, and he told me they have gotten quite a few complaints but no evidence to back the complaints up, so they are able to stay until the break the rules and agreements.
I asked what the complaints were and he brought me to the manager and she told me that the complaints were mainly sexual harassment and feeling unsafe with them here.

So after todays workouts the did the same thing to me as the last time, They followed me kept an eye on me and me and my friend left the gym without going to the locker room again but this time one of them left with us and i noticed he was looking at our car for a bit before going to his card to grab something or some shit.

I am mainly scared because the girl that didn't show up is a victim of sexual assault and she NEVER misses a day of her Self Defense classes. Hell i know her a little she seems like the kind of person who wouldn't miss work or school or training even when she has a fever and is sick.

I know i will get comments like "Find another gym" but this gym for the time i have been there has been the only one i felt safe in and has been the only one i wasn't harassed in.
The other gyms in my area are either full of the kind of guys who don't take no unless you scream it, or the kind that will steal or hurt you and the same goes for the females, In the last gym i was in i was assaulted by a real butch lesbian that didn't like how i declined her offers to go out.

start putting them on blast. Make them feel uncomfortable. Complain to management more and express your concerns and if need be you'll call the cops. But make it uncomfortable for them. make every see how much of creeps they are being.

There are rules in the gym for stuff like this, I could get my membership revoked and banned from it. If i go an attack any member like that even if im in the right i would be kicked out.
so no i can't fight back like that.

then you need to sit down with the manager or owner of the gym. tell them whats going on, how they are allowing a hostile environment in their gym. I get switching gyms isn't easy or fair to you but if they are unwilling to protect their members when they have had multiple complaints then it doesn't sound like a good gym environment to be in. There is no reason the management can't pull them aside and tell them that they have been receiving complaints about their behavior.

Get your friends or a group to sit down. the more people that go the harder it is for them to say we can't do anything. If they still say nothing then the only way you'll make a point to them is by leaving and canceling their membership (hitting them where it hurts, their pockets).

Legally they cannot just boot them out because of their actions. They signed up for a Trial membership, They have 1 free week in the gym unless they break any of the gyms rules.

Which considering the Manager has spoke to others about this she knows the issues but can't just kick them out because they are not breaking any rules or laws.

Then either make an appointment to sit down with him or wait it out for the trial to be over and hope they don't give them a membership. You're right its not fair you have to be the one to say something and try and get something done. But with out trying there isn't much you can do.

Oh no, She won't with all of the negative feedback she won't allow them to sign up for a membership, you can be declined a renewal of your membership card if you make a lot of problems like that.

i know exactly what you mean. most of the time i just want to work out but i always get stalked by mostly weird dudes at gym. i always get these people following me all the time. gay dudes standing behind me (but only one has ever started rubbing his penis) and staring at my ass when i was doing squat and deadlift, straight women always lingering around me, and even cougars too, narcissist dudes that wants me to mire them and when i don't care they keep walking in front of me to flex, the shy dudes that wants to ask for help but too scared so they just keep staring and trying to learn something, and then there's meat heads who ego lifts with momentum that always wants to one up me on every lift i do. it's always the same annoy things i deal with at every gym i switched to, there's really nothing that could be done because they are everywhere at every gym.

i've been stalked 3 times by another gym member, the first 2 times was by the same black guy from the gym i previously went to. the most recent one was a few weeks ago by this Asian dude who tried to follow me home from gym. i was walking home and realized he's walking about half a block behind me and tailing me. i went in a circle by making 3 right turns around the block and he's still following me so i speed walked and went to a crowded area, went into whole foods supermarket and stood by the amazon lockers by wall next to the glass automatic doors, once he came into the store and walked into the aisle trying to look for me, i just left the store and went home. since then i started going to gym at night time instead of day time to avoid him. but even at night time there's still these weirdos following me around the gym.

So i get your fear but you shouldn't just assume they killed the girl which it's very clear you're trying to not so subtly hint that they did something to her. She could be having shit going on in her life that she's checked out of the gym for a little bit.

But yeah as shitty as it is you can't really punish someone just because they have creepy vibes. That would easily lead to abuse of power and being able to punish anyone you simply don't like. I'd just carry bear mace around if I were you.

Do you have any guys who are big into lifting that you can have workout with you? I know you shouldn't have to resort to this but what you should or shouldn't have to do is irrelevant when it comes to your safety. My roommate is a girl and she always comes to the gym with me because she isn't comfy going alone.

The gym has a system where we basically start off with a trial membership for free and if we show good behavior were allowed to apply for a real membership.

Trial does not allow the use certain areas like the basket ball court or the pool sadly

My partner is an officer and i have talked to the manager many times about it, She is also uncomfortable but they don't break any laws in the gym or any of the gyms rules which is a problem, The manager told me if i can find evidence and i mean actual proof of them doing bad shit bring it to her asap but until then, They are official members until their Trial week membership ends

The place does have cameras but what happened between them happened in the unisex bathroom.

The gym is trying to be a sorta Accepting place so they try to get as much trans people to feel safe in the gym enviroment.
