Cats may not be the most cuddly animal. Mine are but they can be unusually standoffish. I feed my cats a quarter can each of their favorite wet food twice a day and some treats in the evening. I have one that likes to settle on my desk, and as a long hair, I have to keep canned air handly to blow off the keyboard. My other one is short hair and loves my side of the bed.
They sleep during the day when I'm out and usually most of the night. They are both great company. This is Siofra

A cat will cost you about $500-$1000 a year depending on a few factors. Food is the most obvious, consistent expense, veterinary care will be a factor, but the first year will definitely be the most expensive of all since you'll also have to buy the necessary infrastructure for keeping a cat.
On the plus side, you can probably find a cat to adopt at little or even no cost up front.

Cats are expensive when it comes to vet bills. If they need a special diet, get sick, or get a chronic disease, it can cost a lot of money.
Definitely cheaper and less demanding than a dog. I like cats, I’d say go for it if you’re thinking about it
all pets can be expensive if you take them to the vet for all of their shots and flea and tick treatments
I had two cats. They were great pets. They can be good companionship.
I think it depends son how much you make
