Our Cora probably could if she had to.

Yes I had one that used to get out all the time and one day I caught him opening the latch so I locked but he kept getting out so I watched and the damn dog jumped the 6 foot fence I had to put up an electric wire and that solved it he tried one time got his as lit up and he never even went near that section of fence yeah yeah sounds cruel but if he got he got hit on the main road or eaten by coyotes it would of sucked and actually I found him when he was probably close to a year old maybe 8 months so I don’t know if he was full blooded but he definitely looked like he was I put out flyers and I would figure if he was full the owner would of hit me up but nothing also he didn’t start jumping the fence until I had him for 6 months or more but he dug his way out a few times then started the latch then jumping he was pretty determined and other than escaping he was a good dog and usually would be at the front door out of breath when I would be going to look for him
Not jump right over. But they can get up high enough to pull themselves over. I've had more than one neighbor who's dog would do that. Always some breed of shepherd. They're smart, lean and strong dogs.
A screen is no problem. All that stops them is a psychological barriers. But a moderately sized dog will destroy a screen in no time. Not sure if they'd jump and clear it, but I know a friend of mine has a shepherd who regularly escapes his backyard to go beg neighbors for their barbequed meats, and climbing the 6-7ft tall fence around the property is the only way he could feasibly do that on his own since there's no signs of digging.
6 foot fence, maybe. I know Belgian malnois can
A screen door, oh absolutely.I had a German Shepherd, I wondered how my dog kept getting outside the gate until one day I watched it get super excited to hear another dog it was jumping up and down and went over the high fence like it was nothin.
I had a Swiss Shepherd who could clear a 6' fence easily as a young dog. Brilliant watchdog and because she was white a lot of people thought she was a wolf!
German Shepherd's are big and their hind legs might allow them to jump over the 6 ft fence
yes. seen it done. to be fair most dont but some do. many breeds, especially the bigger breeds have individuals who do both. you would be amazed at how high some of the smaller breeds can jump too.
It's at the top of it's jumping range and would need a run up. Usually they wouldn't try but once they learnt they could theyd always do it
Yes, large dogs like that are very powerful when it comes to their jumping.
I don't know, but I do know that a Rottweiler/Black Lab mixed dog can jump over a 5 foot fence. (My childhood dog).
Mine could on both counts and did. She could jump and scale an 8 foot brick wall. Damnedest thing I ever saw. She had some amazing speed. Gotta love working lines.
Seen dogs way smaller than a shepherd go through screen doors, and I’m not surprised they’d go over a 6ft fence
It depends on the fence and how you train the dog. I've seen a guy run about 5' up the side of a tree!
I'm not sure about the fence, but likely it could tear through the screen. They are great dogs. I've always admired them.
Could get over it. Don't think it will clear it in one bound though
Seen a Rottweiler do it before, so yeah don't doubt the abilities of bigger dogs I guess
If you want to see what they're capable of, look up the ones that were trained for war. The actions highlighted here are nothing in comparison
Be tough. I doubt they could clear it from just the ground. Our dogs jumped pretty far using the high trampoline. Or they jumped to the top of the fence and then jumped over
Maybe he could jump over a 6 foot fence but definitely go through a screen door.
