How do I activate the on-screen keyboard if it doesn't want to be activated and the physical one is damaged?

I am assuming you are using Windows.
Click on Start button
Select "Settings"
Click on "Ease of Access"
Click on Keyboard
Turn on On Screen Keyboard switch to "ON"

If you have a mouse and it’s Windows, then use it to go to settings, Ease of Access and on left hand side under interaction is KeyBoard.

this will allow you to select On Screen Keyboard

That must be specific to your manufacturer and model. There is no answer that applies to all devices.

Search on-screen keyboard in your search box. Click it and on-screen keyboard appears
