Is he playing me?

Okay, someone please help me! I met this guy at a bar about 3 months ago, and we have been talking on & off since then. At first, he would text me all the time and if I didn’t reply he would blow up my phone asking what I was doing and I’m not gonna lie, I was super turned off by that because I’m a single mom who doesn’t really have time for that. So I told him how I didn’t like that & he stopped. He took me on one date & the rest has been just hooking up after we’re drinking besides one other time. When we first started talking it was just more than that (he’s a father of 2 as well) We would take consistently etc. I don't know why but lately I’ve been starting to have feelings for him and I don’t get why because when I asked him what we are he basically just said that he likes me but wasn’t ready to commit to anything & in his eyes it’s just dating and having fun, even though he likes me. So I asked him if he just wanted to be friends with benefits and he said no, because he’s not looking for “just a hookup” and basically just wants more time it sounded like. I basically told him I wasn’t going to wait around & deleted him on Snapchat & Facebook. And then on Valentine’s Day he texted me happy Valentine’s Day, I didn’t reply and then the following day he asked me why I deleted him and I kind of explained how I felt like I didn’t want to wait around & feel confused because I liked him. Well he said he would text me the next day, but he didn’t. Then this past weekend I go on Snapchat & saw he requested me after I had deleted him so I added him back & we ended up meeting up & hooking up again. We don’t really talk during the week at all but sometimes he will just randomly message me and ask how I’m doing just small talk. I’m so confused! Do you think he is just using me? He keeps saying he likes me but all of this is so confusing. It’s hard because I like him but I really don’t want to get hurt. Please help!!
