Would you get offended if someone told you that you’re annoying when you’re drunk?

I just got into a big argument with my mom because I said she’s obnoxious when she drinks lol
I feel like she thought I was implying that she drinks all the time and that I was judging her for it, which isn’t true

I don't know if someone told me I was obnoxious when I drank, I wouldn’t take it so personally. If I’m drinking, of course I’m gonna be a little annoying. You don’t have to like my drunk personality lol

I love my mom but she’s an obnoxious person in general, not gonna tell her that tho 😭

I’d be a little embarrassed if anything. And then take heed.


If and when I drank next it would be in the back of my mind, I’d then be able to adjust my actions and try not to be annoying, and hopefully people would like me/that more and take notice.


So in the end, it would be a good thing.


It’s not great to hear criticism, but it’s also a way to make positive changes about yourself.


But people criticising maybe should think about their delivery. As that can make all the difference in the way someone takes it.

Crazy how people react differently. I have one friend who starts to talk real loud, gets a little aggressive sometimes. I'm so chill, happy and friendly. I talk more to random people. Which I don't really do when I'm sober. I kinda feel like Raj from big bang theory

Nah... I would not get annoyed by that because I am obnoxious when I am sober and even more so when I am drunk. Which is why I do not drink all that much anymore. I got tried of getting in fights and feeling bad about it later.

I worked as a bouncer for two years and as others have said, all drunks are annoying. Working there a being sober among them made my tolerance even lower.

She's mad because now even her own kid knows that she's an alcoholic. People with addictions sometimes get very sensitive when confronted with the truth.

It’s just if there’s a bottle of something In the house, she’s drinking it all in one sitting lol
She’s just super talkative when she drinks, and she’ll go on and on and on. She has an issue with her short term memory in general and when she drinks, it gets worse so she’s just repeating herself over and over.

If I thought she had a drinking problem, I’d have no problem admitting it. She has her problems and addictions, but I don’t think being addicted to alcohol is one of them.
If she was drinking every single day, all day long, that would be an issue. But she just drinks maybe a couple times a month, even if she goes overboard with how much she drinks in one sitting or if she’s a really obnoxious drunk, I still wouldn’t say she’s an alcoholic for drinking here and there. Trust me, I know people who are real alcoholics and she’s not like them at all lol

I do not drink alcoholic beverages so I'm not drunk I can be belligerent like drunks. I also like a natural high which is more fun and enjoyable and I remember every moment of it.

I never got drunk, coz I just can't. My body didn't work like that way. But if it did, I'd laugh it off and will try not to bother them again.
