Does it make me smart if I get highest marks despite not studying much?

i usually stay awake the night before the exam to study then give the exam.

i always get the highest marks. even when i think i did so bad at a exam i get great marks (not highest but among the top 3)

i wonder if i started studying seriously how much more marks I'll get.
