Does anybody else have an issue where unbelievers underestimate you?

My uncle was an atheist and he thought I was too stupid for university and my language instructor was an atheist and she said I was too stupid to go to a community college and take one class a semester and get a passing grade.

I ended up taking 4 classes a semester in the best university in the country and getting the highest mark in the class in every single class I was enrolled in. I also broke a record by getting the highest grade ever recorded in one of my very difficult classes and I had 16 different professors give me As in their classes, some of which, taught me 4 times or more.

My christian friend told me I could go to Harvard if I believed in myself. My other Christian friend told me I could marry a millionaire if that is what I wanted to do and my other Christian friend told me God could make me the smartest person in the school if that is what he wanted.

My Christian friends thought I was a genius and my atheist friends thought I was mentally retarded.

If you actually understood how complicated life actually is. Just how granular of a level so many things need to work together in extremely specific ways. Like no, go look up how complicated proteins are, they're literally small bundles of atoms that just happen to be connected in a way that they carry out some sort of mechanical function which on a larger scale can perform complicated organic functions. Such as reading DNA, reacting to stimuli, carrying other atoms/organic material etc.

Do you have any idea how small that is? It cannot be photographed because it's smaller then the wavelength of light. Technically, we aren't even sure if a protein is a particle or a wave.

So we need billions of these tiny, tiny, immaculately put together, Proteins, brain cells, skin cells, organ cells (you get the point) all to just happen to work together perfectly in a way that creates the human experience. And to say there is no God is basically saying that it all just happened to happen.

Now I don't even necessarily have a problem with anyone who believes that, just don't go running around acting like your smarter than everybody because maybe it's just me but I think that sounds dumb as fuck.

As I was saying to someone else, there were plenty of religious people and practicing priests that were into physics, mathematics, chemistry etc. People with great minds, like Newton, Faraday, Tesla, Mendel, Pascal - to name a few - were believers. And they weren't underestimated intellectually.

If people underestimate your intellectual potential because of your personal beliefs, it shows they don't know much about either of the subjects. You can be a traditional believer and a great thinker - one does not exclude the other, as long as you keep yourself educated.

Now, the only issue I sense, is that you come across as boastful and slightly judgmental about people who choose NOT to believe, and that's kinda against the whole ”be meek and understanding” doctrine.

My sister once told me "you shouldn't have gotten that job" because she felt that I was unqualified to have that job. According to my sister I had to be a loser so that she felt better about herself. These types of people have very low self esteem and they drag everyone else down with them if people hung out around them long enough.

I didn't have an issue of that sort, because

1. If they insult me, I'd challenge them up for debate, which they do not want, because apart from making fun of people's beliefs, they don't have a point.

2. Atheists who believes that they're superior and more intelligent than theists are actually the stupid ones. They're often clouded by arrogance that makes them say vile and stupid things.

If you read the scientific paper on it then it also states that as there is no real evidence left for us to find and we have to wait for the dna research to catch up before anything more conclusive.

As it is we are still learning. And it is the best possible explanation we have so far, backed with bunch of evidence that support it, not yet for a 100% claim but pretty certain already.

Now, it doesn't really matter for any other claim because even if we had no idea, nothing, not even a clue.
