Someone hitting others because of bad words said... they actually know who they're hitting right?

Whether it's a strong sibling hitting the other, a boyfriend punching his average Jane girlfriend in the arm because she said ''I'll sleep with other guys, may your mother die'', a friend smacking you because you said something bad, etc... this is the one thing in common:

They would be hesitant in hitting a police officer, Rhonda Rousey (oh would he dare hit her if she said the same thing too?), their workplace manager/superior, someone that can hurt you, etc. Even in that slip second of anger/rage, they know very well who they are hitting right?

Personally if someone tries to punch me:
I'm getting out of the way towards the opposite direction then running, ducking or this... if it's the right hand then block it with my left arm, quickly turn around as if I were dancing, lift my right arm very high as if when a teacher tells you to raise you hand, bending down hips and knees a bit, lock and down to the ground you go. If left hand, do the same process with the right arm and left hand lifting.

I see your point and yes... more often than not, people will hit and get violent towards someone they know or think they could take on and beat up

there's been a few times in which this has happened, in which some idiots are wanting to pick a fight but once face to face and see me I'm not stepping back, only that will change their minds... lol

and yes, there were many times in which bullies would use this excuse of "he disrespected me so I can kick his ass" but the moment it was me telling them shit that was way worse, they did not want to kick my ass because well.. they knew it would not be easy at all

and, in the same way yes... I myself would NOT want to end up in a fight with someone I know it can kick my ass easily, or when I am outnumbered, and that has happened as well lol... if some idiot gets stupid but is one on one, I will be more likely to be a bit more confrontational to make them stop or go away, but in the cases I was outnumbered and it was three or four of them, I won't be pushing their buttons because well, that would be dumb for me to do, it's way too risky I just rather defuse the situation and keep them at bay

Lol your question is a follow up of my question I guess. Well, In my relationship we sometimes hit eachother playfully and fight like children for fun. When i do something wrong she sometimes slaps me hard (unintentionally). I've never hit her hard until she said that.
