Is it ok to have a comfort friend of the opposite sex in a marriage?

I will want a comfort male friend so whenever there’s anything I don’t feel comfortable discussing with my partner I will go to him instead. I will feel comfortable telling him how I feel but I wouldn’t want to tell my partner how I feel about certain things as I’m afraid bad things might happen.
