Put me down for summer, but specifically those long days with the lingering sunsets. The sounds of crickets chirping in the evening, the first fireflies and the long twilights. Also, bright sunshine and the sounds as a thunderstorm approaches.

It is a magnificent month.

Actually, I live in Washington, DC now, which is further south and east in the eastern time zone of the USA. So it is not quite like when I was a boy in Michigan. Fun fact, the latest sunset in DC on the summer solstice is 8:37 P. M. In Michigan, where I grew up, it was 9:14 and you would have some twilight as late as 10:00 P. M. (Of course you pay the price come winter!!)

In general, I prefer DC springs to Michigan springs and Michigan summers to DC summers. So it is a bit of a trade-off. There is nothing like, in DC, after a cold winter seeing the first blooms in late March and by April the leaves are on the trees. By contrast, most leaves are not on the trees in Michigan till May. If I could combine a DC spring and a Michigan summer - - - JACKPOT!! (Officially, I would ban fall and winter forever always and everywhere.)

Bottom line I voted for summer officially beginning. However, all the other things listed - except "Birthday" as mine is in August - and except for not liking June - as you can tell, I'm a fan - count. It is one good month. A worst day in June is better than the best day in January... or December... of February... or November... or... well, you get the idea.

My favorite thing about June is the beautiful beach weather & the beautiful bikinis walking around as well. On the other hand my least favorite thing about June is that it’s Hurricane Season.

I definitely enjoy the fact that summer begins officially and I love Father's day cuz I adore my father but I hate that I my son won't be with me because he goes to his dad's on Father's Day so it's better sweet also my child's birthday is in June so it's definitely one of my favorite months for many reasons.

Honestly? Not much at all.
It's already hot where I live (today was in the mid 90s), the bugs and snakes are out, and I've been out of school for years so I'm a prison to my job; summer vacation no longer exists for me, lol.

I will be very happy when it's cold again- Christmas and cold weather? Yes please!

My dad's Birthday? Well it's just family stuff. No big celebration happens as he declines it. But I like to prepare present for him.

If you are asking for vacation, I don't really feel free in home as much as I do in school. Also I have close friends there. It's more adventurous compared to just studying whole day inside home.

Nope. It's just a holiday of month here. Now my parents won't take me somewhere to visit as per serious studies. I will just study the whole 18 days holiday I have got (my school reduced the duration for seniors) and they even gave us summer home assingments. Like why do they even call these days summer holidays? Nothing interesting.

Yup but only when I have to go live off on my own in a hostel during college time. Honestly I also don't like to be caged so much. But it's all right. I will live my life after I earn my own money. I don't have any rights to go against her too. Legally. I'm still under her care and I appreciate that she is raising me.
