When I was little, the first pet of my very own was a baby cayman.
A few years later, my uncle game me a California king snake. I converted the playhouse in our back yard to a reptile house where I wound up with several snakes and lizards. That phase passed after a few years.
In my mid-teens I got a 70 gal aquarium and stocked it with some expensive tropical fish.
After I moved out of my parent's house, I didn't have any pets until one day after I got married. I spotted a tiny kitten on the white line of a five lane, freeway-like highway, stopped my car and chased it down before the tsunami of cars from the stop lights that had just turned green in both directions arrived. I took it home. My wife and I named her Rose. The tiny, tortie turned out to be 5 weeks old. She passed away almost 22 years after I brought her home. She was such a good girl. I still miss her.
In the 20 years that we've been living on acreage in a rural area, we've adopted four older cats from a shelter to help keep the vole population in our garden down. They all turned out to be wonderful kitties but all passed away in time. Each cat has a unique personality.
We now have two cats. Coco is a tiny (5 LB), sleek 16 year old, brown, Burmese. She's high strung but is a sweet girl. Poatie (Potus) is a 1.5 yr old, marmalade orange, super fluffy, 15.5 lb, part Maine coon. He's a very good boy, but Coco is terrified of him. She must be a Democrat. 🤣🤣🤣

I have an American Bulldog
I had a dog, she was a soft coated wheaten terrier/ border collie mix and her name was Fergie. Unfortunately, we had to put her down just a few weeks ago. We took her to the vet thinking she had arthritis because the symptoms were the same as the last time she had it but it wasn't that, it was kidney failure. She was 14. She was our sunshine.
Several years ago, we had a lovely torty cat called Freya. Lost her to kidney cancer. We also had a beautiful Border Collie called Meg. Lost her to a brain tumour at just 6 years old.
Now my family have taken on an abandoned black and white tom cat called Charley Farley. In my profile pics. Been with us 4 or 5 years now.

I had a dog and I did not like him because he had bad manners and always got me dirty with his kisses and when he was around 13 or 14, he began to throw up a lot and the smell bothered me so much I had to leave the room and multiple social events were cancelled because he got unexpectedly Ill, and when we buried him, it cost us $500 which is 1/3 the price of a MacBook, not to cure him, but to bury him, and we had to wait 36 hours for the crematory people to arrive at our home. Dogs are fun when they are healthy, but a burden when they are sick.
I have two springer spaniels and they are great. I'm not talking about what passes as a springer spaniel in the US. They are pure bred English field stock, which are a completely different breed than most springer spaniels here in America. I mean American springer spaniels started as the same breed but, but like most breeds that Americans breed for show and pets, they have been ruined. If you want an amazing dog with a great personality that just wants to please and have fun, a true English springer spaniel is a great choice. But don't just trust the breeder on it... make sure you get the pedigree and confirm it is all working field stock of (recent) British origins.
Unfortunately, no. My current place of residence doesn't allow pets of any kind. The only pets I've had in the past were turtles and goldfish. lol I'd love to have a kitty though. 😊 Whenever I get one I've been looking at Maine Coons. I never thought I'd want a long haired cat, but I really like their traits and mannerisms. One day!
I had rabbits. Now my pets are street animals (pigeons, parrots, cats, dogs). In future my family is planning to adopt a Shih tzu or small breed dog with small mouth (for safety reasons) after I pass 10th grade.
I currently have a Betta fish, but i think he’s dying. 😭😭😭
I’ve had in the past other fish, cats and dogs. My family also kept rabbits, pigs, chickens and ducks. All livestock, but i was young and i named them all. They were all pets to me. I was a sensitive child and they had to tell goofy stories to explain why “Henrietta” wasn’t in the coop anymore. Ell oh ell!I had a dog when my brother and I were kids, my mother and her sisters and brothers had dogs, but most recently our family has a cat, well two cats one named Free and there other named Winter and two dogs Dream and Journey. Had one more named Molly, but she got adopted by some young girl who wanted a dog.
Had a dog growing up and currently have a black cat.
I love animals. I really want another dog, but have to wait for the finances to get more stable.I have a German Shepherd Dog. He is gorgeous, friendly, loyal, and scares the s**t out of anybody who comes to the house.
A few dogs and a lot of cats I'm not a cat person though my siblings are I kinda like dogs but all our dogs were stupid even when we did train them
YES! I grew up around cats and dogs and I currently have a cat. I'm big on pets. Love them! They are wonderful companions. I'm a big animal lover!
Yes. I trained all my pets. Both cats and dogs. A trained pet gets loads more love from strangers and home.
I had a bunny named Fisch Fisch! She was a real killer :)
Yes, most recently two street cats that ran away on moving day to my new apartment. Guess they weren't too keen on me. 🤷♀️

I had a dog when I was little and a cat after that. After I got married we had 2 cats. Now we have none.
Yes; turtles, dogs, chickens, cats, and doves. Those are the ones that come to mind right now.
Yes I have had dogs but I hate losing them the most so I no longer have any.
