The "always believed the report" is the most scary one as it means no fair trial, just punishment based on any accusation, which will result in situations like "there goes my ex, lets report him", "Look who is here, the ***. Remember how we bullied him? Let's report him" or "Will you buy me a drink? No? Here you have a report for harassment".
Interesting. I’d like to know how they’ll enforce this. Man I remember in my club days, strange men would literally grab my hand and my waist as I walked by, and I remember how fucked up I thought it was that this was just accepted as normal. And I’d even be covered up and sometimes I was even in my work outfit and this still happened. I had to stop going before I put one of them in the hospital.
Dumb as shit. How does anybody really meet people - whether for a hookup or just to observe before making a move - without watching them? These are the kinds of ridiculous, simple-minded rules in other nations that do make me glad to live in America.
staring not sure about that, looking definitely not, approaching what's wrong with that, is this just for the male, because even though some of my companions and I are married, we do like men to approach us, but at times, so why can't there be a section, where from both genders can be without interference, I'm sure there are men that don't want women around, in all other area's no should complain,
The ladies only section is actually a good idea. But these clubs just shot themselves the foot. It’s men who PAY covers and buy most of the drinks. In fact clubs were long sexist towards men by giving women free admission and even free drink nights. But they had to do this to encourage women to go.
But it should be no surprise that men go to clubs to get women. But in my experience this was the worst place to approach girls. They are already on high alert and most of them just want to dance/get attention.
Anyway I say go ahead and push this crap and suffer the financial consequences. It will scare men off and men are usually the highest paying customers.
@globetrotter22 I think it will attract way more business than it will drive away. But hey if you don’t like it take your business somewhere else, no arm no foul
@Subarugirl but why should any one go to a different club, basically its educating, both men and women that there are times that both want just a quiet time,
@Subarugirl how exactly would this drive more business? Way fewer guys will frequent clubs so the only way to make up for that is to charge women cover (which can be very expensive at high end clubs). When it comes to “equality” women should of always paid this anyway. But they didn’t have to because clubs always got away with screwing guys.
So now girls have to pay $40 covers, buy their own drinks because guys aren’t allowed to approach them any more. Is that going to encourage more women to go.
by the way I never liked clubs at all. I only went when my friends dragged me along. Besides waiting in long ass lines, having to pay cover for having a D between my legs and feeling pressured by friends to approach women at these clubs (women rarely approach guys at them) and feeling pressured to by outrageous priced drinks I rarely had a good time at them. One of the few benefits of getting older is I don’t get pressured to do that any more.
@Subarugirl well you know what let’s see how it works. I bet you a million bucks that initially some women will go thinking “oh this is so nice” then after 2-3 drinks they start looking around and say to their friends “why isn’t anyone hitting on me?” They they bored even depressed. Then we will be less enthused to hang around or come back to the place.
Women already have that “safe” option by the way. They can go to gay bars if they don’t want guys hitting on them. Funny though I knew a straight bartender who worked at one and he told me the exact same above scenario would play out. Women go to feel “safe” and after a few drinks become frustrated/bored that no one is approaching them. But those bars stay in business for other reasons obviously.
@globetrotter22 but it will attract those who do not want that kind of attention. Believe it or not there are tons of women that would love a night out with out having to worry about some boy trying to make a move on her.
@Subarugirl the whole idea of a club was having dancing, music, booze and yes men and women to interact. And when there is music, ambiance, alcohol what do you think is going to happen? Especially when many dress up in revealing clothing?
Now I am not excusing guys from being aggressive creepy d bags. I know some men are unfortunately like especially when they are drunk (e. g. grabbing a random girl’s butt). I sure as hell not like that but I’ve seen it happen on a few isolated incidents and it pissed me off.
But criminalizing “staring” for fucks sake? Especially when most women dress up at clubs to be stared at. Are you nuts?
This whole feminism push is just not about controlling mens actions but you literally want to control how we think. Like you can magically pass legislation to control what goes on our heads.
But you know what I say let me try it out. I would be shocked if they stayed in business for more than a year if they actually enforce this crap. Guys won’t come and guys are the ones who spend the money at these things.
@globetrotter22 exactly I heard about that study before. when women go to gay clubs they feel extremely happy and liberated at first but when they get no attention by the end of the night they go crazy for the hot gay guys. I saw that too in gay clubs cuz I have friends who are gay. They start complimenting the guys touching them and harassing them. Yet you think girls are victims of harassment. Wait until you see womens true colors when the attention is not there. Go experience it yourself. Gay clubs are all over.
@chicosuave the funny thing how this rule is euphemistically using the word “people” when It almost exclusively is meant for men.
Seriously what guy is going to call the cops and make a scene if a woman just approaches him without consent or let alone stares at him? Also men do occasionally get unwanted sexual advances at clubs too. It made me as uncomfortable af when it happened but I didn’t complain about it to management nor lose sleep over it.
So they should just do away with the “people” and change it to “Men you must have the ability to read minds of the women of this club if you want to stare at them or approach them”
The only time a woman would get kicked out the club is if she aggressively sexually harassed another woman. And I do mean go at it like a violent possessed bitch. All unsolicited grabs. Women usually give other women much more leeway to be “friendly” and touchy/feely. So i doubt it will be a problem for them even for the horniest bi/lesbian.
@Subarugirl why, lets face it, men will always try to have sex with a female, certain exceptions notified and want to stick their dick in a woman,, but only if the woman wants his dick will she be OK with things, I was out last night with friends on a girls night out, but I was chatting to a guy, and yes he said he wanted me, now if I wanted him it would have been acceptable, but I didn't, but I didn't make a fuss about it, and eventually we just laughed it off,
Just let it roll and watch what happens. Yes it’s a private business and they can do what the want. But it is a BUSINESS and they exist to make money. But they put wokeness above common sense and are going to suffer the financial consequences.
But the “staring without consent” statute is on another level in my opinion. I could see psycho cunty women abusing that just to throw out guys they think “look” creepy when the guy did absolutely nothing wrong at all (not even look at her). But again if you punish men you will suffer when it comes to the bottom line. Hollywood box office failures are a good example of this.
@Subarugirl Lol, if they didn't want to be approached by random people then they wouldn't be out a nightclub. I worked in the nightclu industry in Vegas for over a decade and I'm not even sure this is true because how would you enforce this, and who is going to pay to attend. I'm not sure how big of a club this is but men aren't going to pay to attend something like this and they are the profit source of the busines. My guess is that this is more of a promotional/ marketing stunt designed to create awareness for the venue.
@Subarugirl It obviously matters to someone or there wouldn't be a post about it. I'm a firm believer in a private business doing what they want sounds like you do to. So do you believe that it would be ok for a club like this to not allow LGBTQ people inside because it may make guest feel uncomfortable?
@Vegasrunner that’s called discrimination. As long as their pollicies do not violated discrimination laws, or any other local ordinances, I’m all for it.
@Vegasrunner are you seriously comparing a night club with strict conduct policies to a violation of human rights? That’s like asking me if slavery became legal again would I support it…..
@Subarugirl I'm not comparing anything you are. Your the one that said "as long as the laws dont violate any local ordinances" So yes, according to you, you would have supported both Slavery and Segregation because they were the law and as you said as long as it doesn't violate any local ordinance "you're all for it".
@Vegasrunner I said their…. I was referring to the club. Not the deterioration of bodily autonomy and violation of human rights in southern states….. if you want to change topics then we can do that but I am not going to compare conduct policies in a night club to that of abuse of government power
@Subarugirl? So it's ok for some people to violate the law as long as you dont agree w/ it? So you're claiming that a private venue is held to a standard but not others who violate the law?
@Vegasrunner actually what I said is I’m not going to make a false comparison. If you’ll like to change the topic let me know, otherwise stop trying to twist my words
@Subarugirl Difficult to twist someone's words when they're in writting. Anyone reading can clearly decipher what you wrote. No reason to change the topic, as you are the one who brought up your support of private venues adhering to local laws. If that is your bar then you have to acknowledge all other laws equally. So according to you, you would have been in support of segregation, slavery and all current anti abortion law. Or is your opinion that the only laws that need to be adhered to are the ones you personally agree with?
I can see limiting physical grabbing and sexual harassment. But if men are going to get kicked out because they often some woman with a stare, these clubs are just going to be filled with women who often pay less or nothing for the drinks or cover charge.
If you lose the guys, you lose the business. They totally negate why people go to the club. Women might think it's just to be be seen and be with a cool crowd. Little do they know?
This is just stupid, catering to women. The main problem with it is that women don't actually want this- they'll say they want it, but after a few visits the female population will drop off, because when it gets right down to it they go out to get attention (they may not always get the attention they want), and if guys don't approach them for fear of being kicked out the women will begin going to places where they will.
whole point of a nightclub, wear a revealing outfit have guys stare and check you out, have some random guys come up to you and chat you up and go home with at least one of them
@chicosuave Dude, I have fucked more women who were complete strangers than women I actually knew. Of course, I did this through internet dating sites. Women need sex just like men need sex. The key for me to get sex is to treat a woman with respect. Just because she is having sex with me for just the night doesn't mean she deserves to be treated badly. Treat women like you would treat your sister and you will have lots of sex with strangers. It isn't about manipulation. It's about human decency.
@KrakenAttackin that's true. They're probably referring to the ones that sit their and just look at the girls and not approach. I'd imagine they're buying drinks though so who cares? It won't be a policy that will last long I bet. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
NO!! It's gotta be one of the STUPIDEST things I've ever heard of!! "Excuse me, miss, my friends & I over at that table wanted to know if it was okay if we stared at you and talked sexually about you for a while. Would you mind? And, could you make sure we get lots of good shots of your tits and your ass? Thank you!"
Yeah because i think the club would get in trouble than for calling the cops for a non-criminal offense (as far as i know you can't be charged if you look at a person but that might change in today's world nothing surprises me anymore)
@chicosuave And exactly how are you supposed to ask for directions or even buy something from the store when you don't have a lifetime friendship with the people you're talking to?
Australia has become a stupid, f***ed up place since the scamdemic of 2020. I don't even recognise this country anymore. It's become an authoritarian, communist shithole.
@Snsl153 your 25 and i'm 48 prior to 1993 before you were born there was no Goods and services taxs and around the same time gst and the first of the Nannystate rules came in just a small fraction of the regulations we have today existed then going from one being responsible for their own safety then holding other responsible instead. pool couldn't afford insurance with diving boards so they went away etc. then fines for not wearing helmets while on push bikes only 2 out of 195 countries adopted that even though most Australians agree with this most of humanity doesn't. Government regulates and Australians adopt it as their own values like sheep. Introduction of Massive Smoking and alcohol taxes, gun control, smoking area bans are just a few of the regulations that came in air rifles and paintball guns where considered toys when i grew up and i owned both when i was 6 now you need full blown fire arms licences for those even gel blasters where band in Queensland for a while. Australia was a free country in many other ways back then and it not the free country i grew up in. If you were born in a concentration camp you wouldn't be able to even imagine what true freedom is. when Covid hit they took away freedoms that a lot of people cared about but for some of us that process started along time ago and it was only a matter a time before they took away something you liked as well, This tyranny should have been stop at the start.
@chicosuave Yes this is just the sort of stuff I was referring to (though I haven't heard of this.) When I try to google these laws in the UK, I don't find them, though. Can you tell us anything more about it/them?
The managers are free to run the clubs how they see fit. However, patrons have the right to boycott the club as they see fit! So, when it comes to a club full of nothing but girls and no guys, Or vice versa, that’s what happens. I can understand what they’re shooting for, but the targets going to be missed. Good luck to them!
Feminist: I'll dress like a whore & if you look at me you're creepy. But if you don't look at me you're also creepy. It depends on what I think of you at the time.
Yeah I been there before, the owners weree known for being some of the biggest sleazeballs in the Industry. When the doors closed the place turned into a sex dungeon. I would never go back, most clubs generally have a Mafia, or criminal element in their operation, not a place I'm keen to spend my money.
This is being taught. I know social media has allowed everyone to scrutinize one another to a higher degree, but this is not good. Why? Because I know where this will lead. People in power do this and it’s starting to dribble down into that part of society. The rich elite like to go clubbing. Now, they infect a little more of the gene pool & away it goes, unless it’s corrected. God corrects.
Good fucking luck enforcing that, and if they do somehow manage to enforce it, I don't imagine that will be good for business. Often girls go to clubs looking to be picked up just as guys go to clubs looking to pick up. And it can even be the other way around. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
No, it's overkill and not necessary. All the women have to do is tell men they're not interested or just ignore them. If some guys refuse to take no for an answer then the staff could intervene. What's even worse is they banned staring. That's like the Nightclub Owner saying "We no longer support being in a Free Country". Have fun going out business because they deserve it. I wouldn't even go back to a club that does that absurdity even if they reversed the policy.
@Kaneki05 You may be to young to understand this but most guys go to nightclubs to get laid? A law like this simply opens a person up to be at the mercy of any female that "feels" intimidated.
@Vegasrunner You replied to the wrong person. Well I do not know how you 40 years olds do it but clearly not the same way our generation does it plus I am talking my personal experiences with it so to argue with that is pretty daft when you do come from the same one so therefore cannot really speak against mine. Would be like me trying to tell you what clubbing was back in the 80s lol.
@Kaneki05 Lol, kid I live in Las Vegas less than a 5 minute walk from the greatest mega nightclubs in the world and worked in the industry for years hate to break it to you but the majority of the men in these clubs are 40 year 30+ to 40+ year old men because that's who makes the money. The women are in their 20's but the only 20 something year old men that frequent mega clubs are typically celebrities. What is the last Vegas Nightclub that let you in?
@Vegasrunner I also don't live in las Vegas which won't be anything like my personal experience for many obvious reasons. I don't think you understand what personal experience means at this point tbh.
@Kaneki05 You original claimed you were representing "our generation" now your only representing yourself? Now your trying to tell someone who was actually part of an industry how an industry you've never been part of works? What value do you provide to this conversation?
@Vegasrunner I literally say this on my opinion "Maybe other's do it differently but that seems weird from my perspective." And explain this is how me and people I know including my friends and people around my age do it here. Meanwhile you bring up 40 years old in Las Vegas which has nothing to do with my point. Want me to bring up how Disneyland parties are different to Strip clubs? Because the comparisons you are making a clearly very different situations. What mad person thinks Las Vegas is the same to the way collage students club in a city in Yorkshire?
Go back read my original opinions then come back to me when you realise I am talking about my personal experiences that of which will be nothing like your's so there is no reason to argue with me. And these too. Just re-read all of it.
@Kaneki05 Your college experienceis not reflective of a true nightclub experience. do you know how I know? Because I also went to college, so the only one in this conversation lacking experience is you. You can share an opinion but as you pointed out you're not qualified to give one on this subject.
@Vegasrunner Say's mine our while sharing his own and cannot see the irony. Dude just leave me alone if you didn't get my point and want to be dumbass who compares Las Vagas to Clubbing in Yorshire go tell someone else lol.
@Kaneki05 Um I actually worked in this industry meaning I have an actual understanding of the finances as a whole. Your entire nightclub experience according to you is based on going to a dive college bar in the middle of nowhere. So if someone wanted to learn more about the business of nightclubs should they talk to a person that has mad money for 100's of clubs, or the 20 year old dude thats been to one crappy bar in his life?
This is what is called corporate suicide. When you enact policies designed to curtail the sole purpose of your business, you may as well empty out your wall safe and set your money and important papers on fire.
First off I haven't seen a night club in years. Mostly everybody gathers at a local bar or pub, many with entertainment or places like comedy clubs where it is drinks and a show. I certainly wouldn't agree with that nightclub idea.

@Vegasrunner good answer
@Vegasrunner then it doesn’t really matter does it since it will only attract clientele that are okay with their policy
@Subarugirl I think this has run its course, lets all agree not to agree
@Subarugirl It obviously matters to someone or there wouldn't be a post about it. I'm a firm believer in a private business doing what they want sounds like you do to. Or at least to get attention from them.
@red324 Operative word is "hot". If he is not hot he is creepy.
Thank you!"
No. As I was reading this I was thinking about how stupid this is. Having the police called on you for just looking at someone? Bruh.
Yeah because i think the club would get in trouble than for calling the cops for a non-criminal offense (as far as i know you can't be charged if you look at a person but that might change in today's world nothing surprises me anymore)
@NalleBabyBoysss Well, I guess "Rape Stare" is now felony in Australia.
I just heard about this. I think it's lunacy. I couldn't believe it was real.
I feel like saying to Australia, "Et tu, Brute?"
Well it's becoming very common in en Europe. There this small city in the UK where talking to strangers is illegal
@Snsl153 it's been a authoritarian, communist shithole for at least 15 years.
@Sparks32 No, it was very different prior to 2020.
@Snsl153 No Australia has belonged to China prior to 2020 and gone to shit it's just not that everyone was affected and most people are
@NalleBabyBoysss Rubbish.
@chicosuave Which city in the UK? How would anyone do the basics (ex. shop, pay bills) if they couldn't talk to the person behind the counter?
It makes no * sense. How do you ask for consent if not looking at a stranger. Basically no interacting 😂. I don't go to nightclubs so not my problem.
It is inhumane.
Their club, their rules. If they find success with it, congrats. Though I believe their cash cows, men, most likely will chose their competition.
I don't go to clubs anyway so I'm not even touched by this. But I think it's amusing nonetheless.
Feminist: I'll dress like a whore & if you look at me you're creepy. But if you don't look at me you're also creepy. It depends on what I think of you at the time.
Men: I'm out. I'll be at the gym.
Would be like me trying to tell you what clubbing was back in the 80s lol.
don't come*
@Kaneki05 Lol, kid I live in Las Vegas less than a 5 minute walk from the greatest mega nightclubs in the world and worked in the industry for years hate to break it to you but the majority of the men in these clubs are 40 year 30+ to 40+ year old men because that's who makes the money.
@Kaneki05 Your personal experiences are irrelevant to this topic do why would you even share them?
It is because of this club ‘culture’ that I pointedly avoid going to them.
I agree.
First off I haven't seen a night club in years. Mostly everybody gathers at a local bar or pub, many with entertainment or places like comedy clubs where it is drinks and a show. I certainly wouldn't agree with that nightclub idea.
good neither do I
