I had a lesrners permit to drive when I was 16 and 17 and could drive as long as a licensed person was also in the car thdn I got my permanent driver's license when I was 18.

I was 16, which is the youngest a person in my state could get a driver's license. I was fortunate to pass my road test on the first try.

Yeah we have tiered driving. You have G1, G2 and then G. G1 is like a learners permit , G2 you can drive alone with restrictions and G no restrictions. Back before my time you got a beginners and that was like a learners and then right to G. Of course there are tests.

Yeah it's similar here. We have a learner's permit that we can use for a year with an adult in the car. Then after that year we take the driver's test and then we get our license.
