I’m Canada we go through 3 stages.
G1- is a learners permit. I got it when I was 16.
G2- means you’re allowed to drive with restrictions. I got it when I was 17.
G- full license. I got it at 18.
It was a process for sure. I definitely will say I failed a couple times.

Learner's permit at 15, operator's license at 16.
I easily passed my permit test at 15 and knew how to drive well enough. The problem was that auto insurance for a teenager was like $7,500 a year back then which was like half my income at my night job. Everyone in a household that had a drivers license has to be insured or they revoke the entire household's insurance. So my parents were like either cough up $7,500 or move out if you want a license. So I waited until 18 when insurance rates dropped down to roughly $2000 before getting my license and driving a car regularly. In the mean time I saved and invested my money. Now my auto insurances is roughly $500 a year. I’ve still never had an accident or any insurance claim. Insurance rates are ridiculous. It’s extortion… Nice car… It would be a shame if something were to happen to it. Why don’t you pay us 50% of the take, and maybe things will go easy for you...
I got my license at 16, as did everyone I knew. To get it at 16 you had to take driver's ed. They had the class at school, and almost everyone took it. In the winter snow our teacher taught us to do donuts and 180 degree spins (where you are going one direction and spin 180 and slide backwards).
16. But I was driving when I was 13. My grandpa taught me to drive stick on a VW Karmann Ghia. Parallel parking and holding it on a hill on dirt roads outside their cabin in the middle of nowhere.
Oddly enough I inherited the same Ghia and now teach my wife and kids with it
17, my dad bought me a car for my 15th birthday to encourage me to get my learner’s permit but I never bothered so he enrolled me in a driver’s class at 17 when it was clear I wouldn’t do it myself lol
I'm still on my learners which I got when I was like 17 lmao. Almost ready to take my test 😂
I was 16. Love the freedom of having a license. Sometimes, I get home on a Friday night and just say screw it, pack a bag and drive for 6 hours straight. Grab a hotel room and spend the weekend checking things out.
I took driving lessons for a few months as a 20 year old but quit after a month or so. I've been relying on delivery, buses, family and friends ever since.
I was 16, which was the minimum driving age at the time. My sister, her boyfriend, and an older cousin taught me to drive, and I passed my road test the first time.
I had mine drivers license 1 month after my 16th birthday. I had my own vehicle at 19 6 month after I got my first job. Now at 24 I have 2 vehicle.
I was 15 when I got my Lerner's permit and on my birthday 🥳 when I turned 16. I could hardly wait!!!
As for me I got my drivers permit at the age of 16 & six months later I got my drivers license.
18. I was debating to wait longer for self automated driving in the future bc i get nervous while driving.

I was 16 when I got my license. We have a graduated system here, so I was about 19 before I was fully licensed.
I was 18 years and 4 months when I got my driving license.
I was done with driving praxis and theory with 17 and made drive test with 18.
I was 24 only got it because employees demanded it. Have barely used it in my life.
Here in the UK I got my full drivers license when I was seventeen.
