I was 17, just about to turn 18. I remember that I felt like I was late. Most of my friends got their licenses at 16.
PS: I know it's been a long time since I've been on here! Hi to all my friends and followers. :)

I got mine at 17, my dad expected me to go straight for my learner’s permit at 15 and jump on my license at 16 but I never bothered. He even bought me a car to encourage me but he ended up driving it more than I did lol
In the end, when my younger brother turned 15 he enrolled us both in driving school so I could get my license and he could get his learner’s permit and once my 6 month period with the permit was up, I didn’t even have to take the driving test to get my license, just turn in a bunch of paperwork and I was good to go.
I was 15. It was called a learner's permit back then. You had to have an adult licensed driver in the car with you until you were 17, your license looked different and you could not be out past some hour of the evening. Maybe 10 pm.
There might be exceptions if you had a handicapped adult parent you had to drive to get things for. I think I heard about that.

I got my temp license very quickly after turning 16. I got my full license within about 5-6 months, maybe a little sooner. I didn't have a car though, and didn't get to drive all that often. I mostly drove to sports practice after school so nobody would have to pick me up. Other than that, I didn't drive much.
16 and 1/2 and I got my learner's permit 17 when I got my driver's license 17 and a half when I got my first beat up car LOL I used to work nights at the peppermill casino being a dishwasher and then became a busboy just so I could have a car

I got my first full driver's license when I was 16. Similar to Rangers, it took me until the third try to pass the test, mostly because I cut too many corners, so to speak. I got my learner's license when I was 15. Since I went to a transitional kindergarten grade, I was still in middle school at the time. There was a morning when I actually drove myself to middle school and my mom drove her car back home. In Florida, if you are under 18, you need to have had a learner's license for at least a year before you can get a full license. You also need to have had 50 hours of driving experience, at least 10 hours of which must be nighttime driving.
I got my full license at 17 even though I was learning at 16 but you need driver’s ed to get it at 17 so that’s what I did. Otherwise you have to wait till 18 for a full license in New York. I got my motorcycle license at 19 and tractor trailers license at 29
I was 15. In North Dakota you can get your learners permit at 14, and at the time a full license at 15. Now you can only get a provisional license at 15, full license at 16.
I was 18/19. I think I was 19 actually when I actually got it? But I'd been learning since 18. So I guess it's easy to lose track of time. Man I'm even 30 now lol 😂
I was 24, unfortunately, couldn't earlier :D
Immediately after I turned 16.
I had already gotten my learner's permit as soon as I was old enough. So I couldn't wait to get my license.
I was 16½. I didn't want to, driving stressed me out, but it was necessary for our living/working situation at the time.
I was 16.
I was driving stuff long before that on the farm, so it wasn't a big deal.
just life in the country.
Suburbia. Life without a car is impossible. Besides, where else would I get high and have sex?
