I need to know this.

What absolutely causes a baby to smile, their first smile and/or laugh their first laugh?
If you tell a kid an “adult joke,” they will most likely- NOT laugh.
Some adults laugh at kids jokes because it will either be adorably funny,
OR
make no sense, whatsoever.
Stand-up comedy thrives on relatability and (verbal) communication, at the very least.
When you apply this to babies- you’ll recognize they don’t understand a word we say.
Some people laugh when others become clutzy or make mistakes of a certain kind because it’s expected that most people be able to handle certain tasks, by that time.
Some say laughter was derived as a submissive trait, from ancient times.
laughter, on the contrary, is indeed rewarding.
Babies come right from a dark place (the womb) and see everything for the first time, after they are born.
What could cause them to laugh? What are they thinking? Why is ANYTHING truly funny to them? 👀👀👀
They have no previous knowledge (memory) or logic, no dialect, no standard of “normal,” and they don’t have to be tickled, and certainly aren’t scared (otherwise they’d cry)…
so?
What could possibly cause all of these
munchkins to be laughing?
Is it laughing gas? I genuinely don’t know. 🤭
Throw out some theories if you wish.
