+1 yNo. For me it's not difficult at all.
Once I can see that I was wrong (and if there's anything hard... it might be THIS part, sometime)... then I WANT to apologize.
It's hard for me if I realize I'm wrong, but it's not possible to apologize right away. That bugs the hell out of me. When I feel I owe someone an apology that I haven't been able express yet, I can't stand it. It gnaws at me until I'm able to apologize.
I might not always agree with someone, who thinks I should be sorry for something. In those cases, I'm not going to apologize. I'd never give an apology to someone I didn't mean sincerely. (there are for sure people who feel I owe them an apology. If I haven't apologized, it means I don't agree).
But I don't feel like I am someone who has trouble admitting I'm wrong (although it might take some convincing to get me to 'see' it. Usually, I'm aware I fucked-up though)
Once I know I've wronged somebody, for me, an apology isn't only easy... it's something I NEED to do, or it really gnaws at me until I do.

I can stand it when people cannot step back and reevaluate a situation and admit they are sorry... or take any responsibility for how they contributed to the miss understanding.
This type of behavior is call blame shifting or refusing to take responsibility for their own actions... it's a hallmark sign of a person that engages in codependency type relationships and are usually highly manipulative people.

+1 yYea. I almost never purposely apologize. I say “my bad” because i truly thought i was right 😂 On occasion i catch myself saying “I’m sorry” even when its the other persons fault but thats unintentional sorrys that i probably didn't mean anyways. A person will know when im truly sorry because i’ll try to get them to stop and listen, I’ll go into explanation mode and i won't use the word sorry. It’ll start off like “I really didn’t know/think...”. They better take it or leave it cause i ain't kissing ass more than a few mins

I have a bad habit of turning the tables to make them think they were wrong so that I dont have to be wrong alone 😂 Like if im wrong, you’re wrong. Thats the only way

+1 yAside from big Pauly's thread, I am very good at apologizing. I think as a parent you have to be. I think if you want to be a fair individual and be a good example to the rest of the world, you have to be. Sometimes it takes others to make you realize you've made a mistake, but you must try to show respect and have the desire to admit you were wrong.

u +1 yNo. I have learned that the easiest way to resolve a conflct when I am in the wrong is to admit it.
00 Reply 393 opinions shared on Other topic. Ofc. I always apologize as soon as I can. I don’t like being in the wrong. So much so, I need to hurry up and apologize, so I can be back in the right. 😂😂😭 jk
I don’t like to be on anyone’s bad side whom I care for. If I’m on their bad side. I’m on a bad side, and that means I’m on my bad side 😂👐

+1 yNo, it's not an issue for me as I can take ownership and accountability. But it definitely is something people hate doing, especially when they have to admit it. People would rather die than admit they were wrong to someone they had the disagreement with

+1 yNo, it's not hard at all for me to apologize when I'm wrong. When I was a teen I learned by myself that apologizing was the best way to avoid building up rancour in other people, and meanwhile sincerely showing I understood having been wrong. This also made me feel better.
00 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Other topic. The very first time it was hard for me because I did that in person after I saw her fearfully backing off due to an email in which I told her she better stays away from me after having rejected me despite quite clear signs the student's movie night beforehand.
Anyway I could make it through that and she calmly told me it's okay. But as soon as I told my therapist about that back then, I couldn't hold back tears about how wrong I was and how sorry I felt..

+1 yI have no difficulty admitting my guilt if I do something wrong but I might be slow to communicate guilt to somebody who is vindictive and aggressive and will hold it against me in future discussions or conversations.
00 Reply 940 opinions shared on Other topic. No, I am very aware of my mistake and I easily apologise even when I don’t have to! However, it makes me sad when people around me can be so unapologetic and lack of empathy.

+1 yIf I am indeed wrong? No, not at all. If on the other hand I'm not wrong and someone else is trying to convince me I'm wrong, to manipulate me, yeah it's hard for me to apologize. Because the apology would be a lie.

If I'm sorry then I'm genuinely sorry and want to express that to whoever I'm apologizing to.

Sometimes a sorry just blurts out, and other times it's super difficult. Like pulling out teeth.00 Reply nope, because everyone is wrong at some point. If you are playing the wrong card because you want to get even with your man then that is the wrong way of doing it. It's not a right or wrong it's a finding common ground to the solutions.
