Would you rather be a fictional character who everyone loves and enjoys but know you're fictional, or someone who'll never matter in the real world?

I was thinking about this before going to sleep last night.

Would you rather be an idealized version of yourself, but living in a fictional world (or a simulation, like the Matrix) and was made aware that the world you live in isn't real and that you were created by some guy years ago?

Or would you rather know 100% that you're living in the "real world" (Earth Prime) but you're a nobody who'll never matter in it?

Fictional, legendary, and loved by hundreds of millions of people.

Real person with a crappy life who'll never matter.

Sounds like a free will vs determinism question. Me personally, I'd rather not matter than not have free will.

The "real world" is overrated, in my opinion. Unless this reality you and I share, is actually a fictional dystopian universe, in itself, that some man or woman created in a higher plane of existence. Then, we'd all be living crappy lives AND exist in a universe that doesn't matter.

If you look at all the great mythical charcters in the past. They lived great lives of consequence but suffered great tradegy. So the last option, though I believe everyone matters and that life is what you make it.

Lol I would never wanna be a super hero, I only do good when I feel like it and I would not be a villian because I'm not evil, so I would be a regular person who is on the grind to make dough I could give a fuck who remembers me or not haha

In real life they don‘t matter tho. You cannot interact with them in real life. Only in your mind or in a game or whatever. I myself am batman fan for example but in real life it doesn't matter
