If a skilled pickpocket were to steal your wallet right now, how much cash would they get?

I know lots of people deal mostly with credit and debit cards these days, especially since the pandemic. Now it seems every brand of smart phone has its own digital payment application too.
I still deal in cash sometimes. Unfortunately for common thieves, they’d get no cash off of me right now. I spent my bottom dollar on drinks and a friendly bartender yesterday. What about you? How much cash do you have on you? Is that more or less than usual? Has your use of cash changed with time?

They'd get about 1600dkr which is about $230 and is more than usual - I'm getting medicine for my mother tomorrow and it's a new year, they always expensive there.

I usually carry 500dkr on me $70ish and still prefer using cash but did stop for some time during the pandemic like most. But now I've always been slow to catch on with people - now that I've finally moved on to using my cards, people are just using their phones and even rings. I might get there in another 10-15 years.

I tend to pay everything on card nowadays but always try to carry around at least £15/20 - unless I'm going somewhere where it's cash only I don't carry around too much

If I cancel my cards fast enough they're not getting anything. It feels wonderful telling bums that want change that I haven't used physical money in over a decade.

Sounds mean, but they'll start leaving you alone and you just become a non-target for getting robbed at knifepoint. 9 times out of 10 they just want money for drugs because the EBT card can't buy them what they really want. I imagine they're very similar to used car salesmen. Don't fall for their bullshit. 😂

$5 is all I keep in my wallet. I keep the rest in my front pocket and it is usually around $200 - $300 on me most of the time. My wallet is too thick with stuff to get out unnoticed so a thief should expect to get beat down or killed if they tried that with me.

Im a cash person. I dont really care for cards. But i dont keep my cash on me at all times and if i do, its not in my wallet. So they’ll get a wallet full of receipts
