Do 30 year old men prefer 20 year olds instead?

went on a date with a 29-30 year old guy, he assumed I was much younger than my age, he thought I was as old as his sister who is 21 but I'm actually 31, I felt that he didn't feel good about my age, he asked what year I was born twice, he was surprised to know my age but I felt like he didn't have much desire towards me after knowing how old I really was.

Iv had relationships before and always knew if a guy did like me or not. But I felt that this guy just didn't have any desire towards me after knowing my age.

What do you think? And please no sexist or mean comments, thank you.

A male perspective? A woman 10 years younger these days doesn't have a career and present nothing to help with. One of the caveats of equality is being successful and therefore, not appealing to a man's sense of supporting the one they love. A redundant man won't be around long.

I do because they are more attractive, women attractiveness peaks at 23. It is also because i will not go with a woman who thinks they can reject me or guys like me that are not alpha or so called bad guys throughout their best years and then try and settle with such guys like me in their 30s.

Also if they are just chasing the muscular guys with tattoos all over their arms in their prime, then the same.

Yeah, I have rarely dated younger, and even when I have it has been within a year. I mostly date 5-10 years older. My parents were older when I was born (mom almost 45), so I was always around their friends kids, who tended to be at least 5 years older than I am.

For me the sweet spot at the moment is between 26 and 34, preferably with a degree and some interest in art.

It is weird to me. I've seen 20-year-olds who've spent too much time in the sun without sunscreen and who have be partakers in a few too many hits of one thing or another who look far older, and I've seen 50-year-olds who could pass for 30. To a certain extent age really is just a number, and one over which we have literally no control.
