What are your thoughts on Pit Bulls or bully breeds?

People say they’re the most dangerous breeds and should be banned. But, everyone forgets other dog breeds can be as aggressive and dangerous. Does that mean we should ban all dogs then? I love all dog breeds, but I would still be cautious around dogs I don’t know because it’s common sense. The only reason y’all would hate Pit Bulls or bully breeds because social media tells you to. They want you to believe no other dog breed can be as aggressive and turn a blind eye if they somehow attack someone.

I got a half pit Bull and she loves people to much and she is actually to friendly. The only time she will bark if another dog barks at her then she gets a little mad and will remember that dog. Other dogs she perfectly fine with. Oh she hates motorcycles and bikes. She also very very stubborn it has to be her way or she will lays down and will not move until she gets her way. She won’t bark to go outside she will either push my laptop shut, lay on top of my shoulders (of course I’m sitting on the couch), lay down on the floor near the stairs or in the mornings she will hit and scratch me to wake me up. The one of the best dog I’ve had so lovable.

They're dogs. train them right, they're good, same as any dogs out there. Just saying, I've been attacked and bitten by more small dogs than anything else. Pitties and such like them are usually massive dorks lol like small horses with the brains of children.

I’ve actually seen a video of a Golden Retriever bit it’s owner’s face when the owner was in her dog’s face. And her dog gave clear signs to get out of it’s personal space.

Exactly, the whole Pitbull reputation thing is self-perpetuated. People who want aggressive dogs get Pitbulls because of the reputation, then treat them like shit to make them more aggressive, making one more aggressive pittbull in the world. Every one I have ever encountered has been a sweetheart.

The problem with all dog breeds now not just bully breeds is they’re being over bred. Too many people get dogs to breed just to make quick cash with no regard for the pups they produce. The breed standard for the American pitbull terrier is they’re supposed to be human friendly but animal aggressive and sometimes same sex aggressive. And that goes for a lot of bully breeds. But with backyard breeders, puppy mills and designer breeders we end up with dogs that aren’t to standard, have iffy temperaments and poor genetics.
For bully breeds in general I have no problem with them (I do have a distinct dislike for exotic bullies for a number of reasons one being they’re not functional animals and look like fucking bull frogs, but that’s another can of worms) but they’re not the breed for me, they don’t fit my lifestyle.

Love them. We git to be real and acknowledge the potential for danger os bigger with them. A bite from a pit bull is more dangerous then many other breeds. Still I own several and they all been super great loyal dogs that were sweethearts. I trusted them all. U need to be on top of their training, socialize them at a young age and acknowledge their individual personalities

Chihuahuas should be banned I've seen and been around more agressive chihuahuas and other small dogs than i have pit bulls, bull dogs, boxers etc. My buddy had a 120 pound German shepherd that was an absolute cuddle monster. My dog currently is part pitbull. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. When she was a puppy i made sure to get her around as many kids and other dogs so she would be comfortable around them.

Pit Bulls are really tough but if they are raised correctly they can make just as good pets as other breeds.
