I Do, I believe that a huge percentage of humor and comedy comes from pain and sufferment and that can explain why dark humor exists and why many people find it funny, kind of like a coping strategy to pain, what's better than crying to pain, laughing to it? 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think that only smart people can get humor or have it. It requires a great mental skill and wit to come up with a funny timley remark. So I dont say it comes from pain at all. But the funny mind use sad stuff and Look at it from a satirical point of view which is surprising and the element of surprise is what makes us laugh. I met people who r sad and bitter with horrible lives and they r neither funny nor witty

Sometimes when you look back at something bad it can be funny. I went to a wake one night and a bat flew in the funeral parlor. My brother in law and me had to chase him out. It was horrible when it was going on but now we laugh about it. I got dumped by a girl I was really in love with in a really cruel way. almost 30 years later I still hate to think about it.

I'm basically never offended by any comedian. Because I look at comedy as a safe space.
