I'm actually dreading the rest of this work weekend. Having a slow day today, was alright - I've deserved it but a whole weekend with this... I'm going to slowly die on the inside - one 2 and a half kid around, (I say half because one is in is room at all times except for food, candy and bathroom).
I mean I work in home care. I hate working with dementia clients for a multitude of reasons but repetitive questions is one of them. So last night I worked a 4 hour shift with a dementia client who has reverted to his native tongue which makes it more difficult to understand what he’s saying and what he needs.
I prefer longer shifts that sure are slow like the 16 hours I was working before because I would do their cares, check in on them and do cares as needed and then just keep to myself and do my own thing.
