Absolutely. It happens all the time. A man has some notion of the woman he wants to marry, but he's not meeting that woman and he's lonely, so he gets involved with someone else and that goes on for a few years and it's easier for him to just marry her than to break up so he settles.

Yes, sociopaths and psychopaths get married all the time. They are unable to feel love, they just get married for the benefits or to make them look good. People have been getting married for reasons other than love for all of human history.
