I wouldn't call it an option. That implies that it's one of several viable choices. It's not. It's more like a last resort. It should not be relied on. Hopefully it never reaches that point. Plan B is for the cases when it does reach that point, when you realize that whoops, you could be in trouble.

Just be prepared for the possible side effects. Side effects could be that your period may not come for a month or 2. It can also cause your period to last a little longer than usual

The pill after is heavy stuff, it hits your hormones with a sledgehammer and this is not pleasant. Its a last resort option thats good to have, but hopefully you never need it.
