6 moPlan A stay employed and continue adding into my retirement fund so I can live my last years in peace and not fearing financial woes or how much it costs to have healthcare by then. Always looking for a better opportunity that seems to not exist in America any longer.
Plan B is if I lose my job I have a safety net that will dwindle, prob get paid less in my next job because no one cares about human beings, robots first, and I will never retire.

I always like to try to think of a plan B, C, D, E, and F in circumstances. Really!
I had a plan A when I lived with my parents, but that didn't work out, so I moved to plan B.
As far as life, job, and relationships are concerned, I only have a plan A and plan B, hopefully I can return on track to plan A soon.
What's plan A, I can hear you saying?
Marriage, children and a property we can all live in.

u 6 moI don’t really have a plan A or plan B. My only goal is to provide the best life possible for my children, and that means giving myself a good life too, so that I can be the best version of myself for them. In regards to that, I go with the flow - no specific plans for work or living situation, just whatever is best for myself and my family.
20 Reply When I applied to college years ago I wrote down my major on the application
The guy at the desk asked me to write a plan B and C in case I don’t get accepted
I told him “I have no intention of doing anything else. If you guys don’t want me I’ll find someone else who does”
Left it blank.
And I got in.
Been using that philosophy my entire life.
I don’t mind altering and adapting the plan
But I won’t be defeated by circumstance and forced onto a whole new path
(Even if sometimes it does feel like circumstances influence the outcome no matter what I do)11 Reply- 6 mo
Good for you. I wish this to always be true for you. Sincerely.
A, B, C, D... I learned one thing, being unprepared for worst case scenario causes this scenario happens.
Wish think, being too comfortable and hubris is the reason why the west industry is "nailed" by china now. People who develop geopolitical and geo-economical strategies complain that people who hire them don't even want to hear uncomfortable scenarios, they just want plans for success. This is socio-cognitive behavior we need to get rid of in the west.

6 moI do.
Plan A is the one you chase with your whole chest the thing that feels right for who you are today.
Plan B is the version that keeps you moving if life shifts under your feet.
For me, Plan B isn’t a downgrade.
It’s just a different path that still leads somewhere meaningful.
Something quieter, steadier, and less dependent on timing.
So if Plan A ever stops fitting, I won’t force it.
I’ll pivot, not panic.10 Reply
6 moThere is no Plan A and Plan B. There is constant adaptation to constant change. Get comfortable in chaos not a lifestyle. I generally don't wait for Plan A to end to execute changes in my life. Don't sit there and wait for the bullet to hit you. Be a moving target.

6 moA plan is a wonderful thing to have & sometimes plans don’t exactly go your way.
This is how I roll. (Please See Below)
PLAN A: The Main Plan.
PLAN B: If PLAN A Doesn’t Work Refer To PLAN C.
PLAN C: Just Wing It & whatever the fuck happens, happens.

6 moAt my age, there isn't much B to plan for. In the past. I should have. I was gutted in divorce. You should skull out your Plan B before you marry. Like buying guns for self defense. Its not just the ideal of Semper Fidelis. It's the reality of those other guys Semper Paratus.
10 ReplyI live by a simple statement.
Always have a plan and a backup plan because the first one will always fail so be ready to move to plan C.

6 moThere is no plan B. It's either achieve my dreams the way I envisioned for many years or nothing and maybe find that forest in Japan to suicide because I would have let myself and everyone who supported me down
10 ReplyOMG I have bounced around from so many plans... I am probably on plan M now!

I used to be full of plans. Now I only have plan A, and it’s pretty easy to stick to.
Wake up and get the things done that I need to get done. Go to sleep. Rinse, repeat.
10 Replyi’d say if all else falls apart i’ll go back to my home country, kill my abusers, and be happy when the government execute me.

6 moMy plan A is to continue to build enough passive income to retire by 40. My plan B is to sell this house and my other properties, move to somewhere far less expensive, and retire even earlier.

Anonymous(36-45)6 moYes, I'm living it now. I left the USA to live in Italy for a while, maybe forever if it goes full fascist. I might move to France though, because there's more golf and it's a lot cheaper to play.
10 ReplyAs you know, I don't even have a plan A. I try to live in the moment. It's not always a good thing but helps to reduce my stress levels.
