OK - are you ready for a little lesson in English grammar and English punctuation?

I can't bare to watch these words being misspelled any longer. This word that is misspelled more than any word I have ever seen. Seems like more people misspell it more than not.
The word is: YOUR
The meaning spelled the way it's shown means like in a possessive way. Example's:
Your hair looks beautiful today.
Your car 🚗 is fast.
Your 🐕 dog bit my leg.

You're is the short way of saying you are.
You've is the short way of saying you have.
And so on...
Do you have a word you see misspelled?
I'm (I am) sure some of you will pick on me for my grammar and punctuation or for even asking this question. 🙂

I could rattle off a list!
To, too, and two. There, their and they're.
Starting every sentence with the word, "So".
Saying "women" instead of "woman", and vice versa. Funny how they ever get it wrong with, "man" vs. "men"!
Refusing to capitalize the letter "I" when using it as a word or in the words "I'm" and "I've". However, this one I can KINDA understand because if you spend a lot of your time typing on a phone, the letter I automatically capitalizes itself so, you get used to that and, when you move to a computer, you just take it for ranted that the computer will also capitalize the I. Sometimes, they don't even use the apostrophe!
Using, "situationship". There's no such word.
Terms like, "I am loving it". What's wrong with, "I love it"?
Terms like, "hating on". How do you hate ON something? "Hate" will suffice. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say, "loving on".
I'm sure there's others but I just woke up and am still battling this cold so, my head's a bit fuzzy.

The one that gets me is the word "conversating". I think it should be conversing. That's my answer and I'm sticken to it. 😊

You're right! I don't think I've ever hear "conversating". Maybe if we all stopped paying school taxes until the teachers ACTUALLY TEACH what they're SUPPOSED to teach!!!

I agree with you that "your" is often mis-used, but the word "lead" is mis-used more often.

People are not "lead" to places, they are "led".

The problem is that lead as in a pencil. is spelled the same as lead, Polish and polish and a few more that are spelled the same have a different meaning. English is a bitch.

Those are all good examples. One of my pet peeves is how people think adding apostrophe "s" makes a noun plural.

There were three cake's at the party. WRONG.

There were three cakes at the party. RIGHT.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't always know I'd a word needs an apostrophe or not. I just remember that an apostrophe means possessive and more than one. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But that was my point. Adding apostrophe "s" doesn't correctly indicate more than one (plural).
The apostrophe "s" after a noun indicates possession as you mentioned.
Example: The cake's frosting was pink.

I have been guilty of those misspelling. I usually see it as I hit the send button. The other mistake is using lower case i when referring to oneself. Hard to fix after you hit the send button.
