What reason would he have to want to go to jail?
The next morning he is found dead from what they said was acute Fentanyl and meth cause of death an accident.
I think it was suicide.
Why do you think he did that?

Thanks for the MHO.
Tweekers don't make sense. Call the police.
@KrakenAttackin
The guy was taking meth for his ADHD symptoms. Just a little bit he told me. I couldn't even tell he was taking it until he started going sideways on me in the end.
I told him before he moved in with me he had to stop using it. He said he would, but he just couldn't stop and there is no medication for withdrawals of meth.
That's what I am asking. Do you think he would rather have gone to jail than be homeless, with diabetes, on meth.
Is it possible he thought jail could help him with all of his problems?
The reason I am even asking about this is because he died the day after I refused to call the police on him. Fentanyl Meath poisoning manner of death accidental. I think he committed Harry Kerry.
And now I feel like he would still be alive and get help but I wouldn't call the cops. So it's my fault and I am guilt tripping about it.
Thank you for your help KrackenAttackin
Why did you let him move in with you?
@Jamie05rhs
When I met him 1
in 2018 he was not on meth. Then his family broke apart and since he was a VET, the VA kept a roof over his head until he used them up and ended up on the streets.
We were a couple at one time, forward 3 years and we were still together in a different way. Then we thought it would be a good idea if he moved in with me because I was sick and he just found out he was a diabetic.
I told him no more meth, but he couldn't quit I guess. I couldn't even tell he was on something.
So, I took in a diabetic, homeless VET that I loved so much at one time.
I thought I was doing a good thing for both of us in the bad condition we were both in.

I didn't even think about that at the time. Damn it! He should have told me he wanted to go to jail to get help. But I thought it was just a way for him to move out of my place to be with some other chick. He was getting pretty cozy with the lady that does my shopping, etc. They were always at my door laughing together and she stopped even saying hello to me.🤔 He used to call her kiddo then started calling her "My Dear". But he kept telling me he loved me. I was confused.
The bottom line is just now I am feeling really guilty for not calling the cops.
My neighbors found him dead the very next day in an empty apartment.
The cause of death was acute Fentanyl and meth mixed and the manner of death was accidental.
But I think he bought the Fentanyl and meth and had them mixed, smoked it, and checked out on purpose.
I write this with tears in my eyes because I did still love him. And now he's gone.
RIP Patrick 💔
Oh no!! 😨😰
@Jamie05rhs
In December of 2017, all of 2018 when he had to move out of his apartment to take care of his old mother. He left January 2019.
I would meet him once In a while for three years we were apart. He wasn't on meth then.
He moved in with me April fool's day of 2023
And died on September 7, 3 months ago.
@Jamie05rhs
He lived in an apartment in my building as caregiver to his 80 year old mother who fell and messed up her back. She just got to the point where she needed mote care than he could give. So he put her in a nursing home around the corner.
Then he replied on the VA for some places where he could stay. That only lasted for a while, then he was homeless again. He tried to live with his only brother but it didn't work out. So, back to the streets again.
After that for a few years, he moved in with me o April fool's day of 2023 and left when he died on September 7, 3 months ago.
I am having a bad grief day today. I was in love with him even though he had ADHD.
Actually he was quite brilliant Jamie. He could do math like Einstein and was a self-taught astronomy whizzed. He couldn't go to college because of his ADHD, so he taught himself astronomy and all about the stars, planets, anything about the Universe. Incredible huh?
Aww. Yes; he sounds like an interesting person. I'm very sorry that he got into drugs. They destroy the lives of so many people.
