Asking for 3 pets in my rental house?
I have been renting this house for 3 months. Originally when I applied for the house there were no pet restrictions/limits mentioned.
I have 2 dogs and they approved them. Now I’d like to see if I can add a third dog. I’m very good at cleaning up after my dogs, not letting them damage things, and I keep up with their needs. I’m even willing to pay an extra deposit.
How can I go about asking the landlord to add a third pet?

If there’s enough space and it’s a bigger house then they might let it slide. But if you’re in an apartment, two dogs is already pushing it, I think three would be too much.
It’s no hoa, 3 bedroom home, with a big backyard, the previous owner had two large German shepherds, and I have a dachshund and mix under 40lb… I’m hoping to add another dog under 50lb.
So your dogs are pretty small and you want a 3rd small one, that doesn’t sound too bad. I think it would be harder if they were any bigger, so it’s at least worth a try. The worst they can do is say no.
I mean you could just ask but my question is why? Like is one getting older and you want a third dog to help ease that transition for the other dog. Or is it just a you’re responsible and would like to get another one
I don't see why not, just make sure you ask the owner if its ok.
