If you were in a survival situation, which environment would you want to be in?

Forest as it provides the best environment to survive and even thrive in.

1# Bugs

While disgusting bugs actually can provide you protein and nutrients which can keep you from starving to death if your to weak to hunt or there's no available source of fish.

2# Wild game/fish

Your going to have plenty of wild game that you can hunt or trap and there will probably be a few rivers, ponds or even a lake with fish that you should be able to catch.

3# Berries and vegetables

Most forests will probably have a variety of wild berries, fruits or vegetables like mushrooms though I would only advise doing that if your knowledgably about what's edible and what's poisonous otherwise you can and probably will die.

4# Water

Ponds and lakes if you have a way to boil the water and get rid of the bacteria that thrives in still water. And rivers or streams which should provide a steady source of fresh water to keep you hydrated and alive.

5# Wood/shelter

A forest will have plenty of dead and or dry wood laying around it which should allow you to easily acclimate firewood to keep you warm or craft weapons and allow you to sterilize water and cook meals. And plenty of big strong pieces of wood as well as brush to make shelters with. And the tree's themselves provide ways to make traps for animals as well as just them existing helps shelter you from rain, snow, high winds and the sun.

6# People

In a forest you probably have the highest likelihood of finding other people whether they be hikers, campers, hunters or rescue teams.

So if you had to survive anywhere the forest would be the most ideal place to do it.

There's lots of food available in a forest, and material for shelter.

European forest in summer time. If you know what to eat and what not, you would find enough food for a day in less than an hour.

I say forest. there would be materials to build shelter and probably access to water.
