E g. You realise the wisdom in spending less time in crowded, public settings and more time either at home, working from home as well, and not venturing too far away from home (local shops, local attractions). All in the name of avoiding, confrontations and staying out of trouble (and staying away from trouble finding you, by dumb luck).

After all, the daily news often than not, anywhere in the developed world or not developed world, always talks about local crime, public freakouts in malls or Karen's with aggression, angry customers or brawls between strangers or just the plain usual random crime, nonsense behaviour out there/unruly people. Thoughts? Not saying anyone and neither am I, a person who never leaves the house. That's just crazy lol to never leave the house. 🏠

My lifestyle has changed since covid and also since I finished university and also while I was at university. With rising inflation and food costs and the possibility of getting sick, I no longer dine at restaurants every day. Another factor is the incidence of crime in my area. When I was 21, there were no night stalkers in my neighbourhood and it was perfectly safe for me to take the bus home from church at 11 o'clock at night and then walk in the dark night sky to my house from the bus stop. Now, there are drug dealers out on the streets, there are dead bodies found around grocery stores, there are rapists lurking around bus shelters, there are thieves breaking into people's houses. I no longer visit churches unless I have a ride to and back from the church at night. I believe I escaped a possible violent attack when a stranger offered me a ride home and I later learned about a murder that happened walking distance from where the stranger offered me a ride home weeks after I rejected the stranger's offer for a ride home.
Nah. We what we want, though we do so responsibly. Haven't had any incidents we consider negative. We aren't going to change our lives just because Karen's exist.
