Does that mean he is partly guilty or responsible?

If a guy posted and ad on a adult dating website looking for women to sleep with. Along with his e mail and phone number.

He was then contacted by this girl who looked really young and sent him pics but then asked for money in exchange for sex.

He refused. And assumed she wasn't a minor as it was and adult site she contacted him from.

Couple of months later her father contacts the guy on his phone saying his daughter was actually a minor and that she contacted him through the adult website.

He had broken/smashed her phone. And claimed that it was partly the guy's fault that even after seeing her pics still messaged flirting with her back. So he should have figured she is a minor and still messaged her. And then asking to pay half the price for replacing the phone before her mother gets home from work or else he'd go to the police. The guy sends money the asked amount and the father said there will be no more contact after this.

Is the guy who posted the ad partly responsible/ guilty for chatting with a minor on a sexual level or not as she contacted him through the adult website with no mention of her age and just sending her pics?

Does that mean he is partly guilty or responsible?
