Any tips on how to deal with triggers?

There are many pictures from my past that I want to delete, but every time I try to look back at them I get really triggered due to traumatic experiences. I used to see a psychologist once a week, but I stopped going, because I was making a lot of progress and feeling better. I am still feeling better. My life is so peaceful at the moment. But when I look back at these old photos and videos, my heart starts raising and I feel sick to my stomach. Almost like I’m suffocating. How do I deal with this? It’s been longer than a year now. Does it ever get better?
Any tips on how to deal with triggers?
