Why random children try to talk to me?

So recently i noticed that i would be sitting somewhere like at an airport or a restaurant or a Museum and a random child will approach me and try to do something silly or run around me. I dont know why. Does Anyone have this same thing happening to them. It just started happening to me recently and a lot. I am worried that i do look funny or weird. Or maybe those children needed help in something. But I ignore them as i dont want a Karen of a mother to shun me for talking to her child when he is the one approaching me.

Actually i was eating chocolate or chewing gum most of the time i was approached

I also thought that but it never happened to me before just in the last 3 months it started to happen a lot. I am worried i look weird now or something because kids unlike adults will stare more if someone looks weird or something wrong with them

Nah, kid are curious when they are young... They like to explore the world. They don't develop strong judgement until life beats them down. It takes time.
