Does intelligence correlate to cruelty?

I mean if you think about it humans are the smartest cruelest animals on the planet. Chimpanzees can also be extremely cruel and don’t even get me started on dolphins. Crows are also pretty mean.

I’m not saying smarter people are more cruel then dumber people. But it just seems that the smartest species tend to be bigger ass holes then dumber species.

I see what you're trying to say here...

lions are not regarded as the "most intelligent of the species" but they've been recorded to be unnecessarily cruel and vicious... especially when a pack of young but strong enough male lions stick together... they can do horrible stuff to other lions, pretty much torture that does not bring a benefit or advantage to them, and they still do it repeatedly

no. the only difference is that you're aware of the cruelty. a bear killing you doesn't give a shit about not letting you suffer. they'll just rip your torso open, break your legs and then takes an arm for a snack to turn back on you later cause your flesh is still fresh. he doesn't do that to be cruel. we are cruel to be cruel. that's the the difference.

If anything, intelligence quells cruelty! At least you have the ability to think things through and change things accordingly rather than just slashing out at anything that moves, the way animals might.

There like the rapist of the sea dude. Males will literally group up and gang rape a female for weeks. They also will kill a baby just to mate with the mom. They also masturbate using eels (I don't know how but apparently they do). There also known for humping even dead animals. they also use other animals like puffer fish and baby sharks as a beach ball
