“Hypothetical:

My response: If there is indeed a vampire apocalypse and something as simple as having silver necklace around your neck saves someone…. Why is it an apocalypse in the first place? Also the silver only surrounded your neck, they could bite your feet while you sleep or ambush you or literally anything.
Another thought: Humans who were bitten to become vampires…. If they had guns or bow/arrow they can just shoot you from a far then suck your blood away as a corpse.
Well no one ever talked about it before and it’s an apocalypse because the vampires kill the humans.
Usually people in the texts and movies don’t want to become vampires or fear them.
🤷♀️ supposedly painful becoming but I think if I read correctly you’d just become one and you wouldn’t mind killing other people if you can kill them with just about anything. 👍
@Rosexøxø Honestly I took it as a Zombie Apocalypse just with Vampires sort of deal.
Like the desire to feast upon human blood would take over the former humans currently turned vampires so they would simply use their human skills (since I see Vampires as more aware of surroundings than Zombies) to take down their prey for blood.
I know if I craved blood and someone was wearing an Anti Vampire necklace, I’d just use a spear or gun or bow/arrow or something. I don't know just doesn’t make logical sense that a silver necklace would do anything….
Another thing to take into consideration is you’ll need to shower at some point (assuming there is a waterfall nearby since plumbing would be gone) if you wore your necklace while being completely exposed the necklace would suffer water damage slowly over time making it so they can get to you…
Or maybe I am just a huge nerd, either way just my thoughts lol.
Yeah, this inspires me to think more on this subject and totally refine it. Thanks for the contribution!
It’s also worth adding if there’s plenty of other people, I dont see why ONE vampire would go through much work to simply kill one human. There’s so many not wearing the necklaces.
Also reason for my initial thought was cause you see in movies one is always being bitten and killed via neck. I don't know why the obsession. Clearly I need to read more about them to know how they would act. If they’re smart and act as humans I can see now why my idea would be a problem. It’s not totally disposable though. A good starting point to evolve it into something greater.
Enjoyable read. Gave a very insightful look into vampires and people.
Thanks for that! 💯
@Rosexøxø Yeah I never understood the whole movie thing too, especially since some areas of the body have more blood than others…. Neck would be too awkward to bite, leg or arm like mosquitos makes totally more sense.
Also when I was thinking of one vampire going out of their way to attack a necklace based human was that it is one solitary human in a tent in the middle of the woods all alone, all of a sudden a vampire appears and is on the attack with thirst in his/her eyes ready to strike. Just my hypothetical lol.
You’re welcome for the food for thought, if you need me for more hypotheticals or opinions or advice feel free to DM THIS WAS FUN 🤣
They could just throw a rock at your head and then use tin snips while you are disoriented. Granted, vampires probably wouldn't walk around with tin snips unless your tactic became common, so as long as you keep it to yourself it will probably work for a while.

No cause real vampires aren’t bothered by silver. That’s a thing from True Blood unique to that show (and book series).
They could just cut your head off with a sword, remove the necklace and go to town. Either that or there's lots of other arteries to get blood from that they don't even need to go for the neck once your lights-out.
Silver doesn't repel vampires. You're thinking of werewolves (and presumably wifwolves, too).
No you need garlic, silver only kills thence if stabbed or shot with
Why couldn't they just throw something at you and kill you?
Wayy hypothetical.
