Is zero nothing or something?

So zero is nothing but why did they have to make a number for nothing? Which then makes even less sense cause that nothing becomes even more nothing when it drops under zero into the negatives but then it becomes something when it starts counting upwards but downwards at the same time, so nothing becomes worse nothing when it's so nothing that it becomes something, then you use that nothing to make even bigger somethings and the more nothings you put at the end of numbers, you get bigger numbers which means more but if the nothings are placed infront of the numbers its making the numbers smaller, so is zero nothing or something?

Alright I like this question therefore I will analyze.
Nothing in a mathematical sense implies the absence of a value or entity together, it also implies an undefined value.
Zero is often used to define the absence of something. However, zero is a defined value, which exists between positive and negative values. It is also used in binary code as one of the fundamental building blocks.
In a practical sense, zero can represent the absence of quantity, but it is actually a defined concept which means that in this case what represents absence is something, which means that zero is something lol.

standard mistake of a starting programmer :D

if it's on the scale (like temperature), 0 has a meaning,

in the coordinate system, 0 has a meaning,

when you need a very accurate value... the position of 0 after the dot makes a difference :D

but having 0 apples means you have no apples :D

At the very instant we name something, it ceases to be nothing? When zero is the absence, then the absence exists, even if it is absence, even if it means it does not exist. We named it. As such the only thing I see as nothing is the thing no one names. But even then, we named it.
