4.7K opinions shared on Other topic. I have a several types of lock pick sets and have a decent amount of experience actually picking locks. I also have sets of keys that allow me to open probably 60% of all locks out in the world. It's part of my job. I do work on gates and gate controllers, and so I have 4 keys that between them will open up nearly any gate controller and gate motor cover.
I have picks for barrel locks, disc detainer locks, dimple locks, and of course, standard pin-tumbler locks.
Most people would be shocked that a couple of picks (called rakes) will open up most common locks in just a couple of seconds with almost no skill.
This is why I have expensive locks on my house with a very strange key. It's virtually pick-proof - REALLY!

1 yYes.

YES Believe it or not, a paper clip and maybe some string is enough for most doors. Besides that, with a kit, even a complete retard is probably going to outsmart a deadbolt within a couple hours. Then there is brute force.
I can either pull that door open or just push it in most of the time. People that think they're safe with a quarter inch of wood blocking the way are just not thinking.
Now obviously if the door is set up to stop assholes like me, It's going to probably work. But let's be real...98% of you live behind something I could literally pull open and if you hand me a crow bar I'll even be able to rip your door down from the side the hinges are attached. You're not safe... it's just a facade of safety. Keeps out obliterated drunks at best.

1 yYes, I was able to pick padlocks and doorknobs.
When we were kids, my girl scout colleagues and I played lock-picking games with the supervision of our peers.
I remember being quite good at it.

Are you asking if I can pick a lock?
Because I’m not sure I should admit that I can do that publicly 🤔25 Reply- 1 y
Lol!!! Yes I am asking that. Judging by your answer that's a half admission in itself it's fair for me to assume you definitely can Mr!!😉

@Zack-Bann,
Plenty of people pick locks every day for a living. Lock picking tools can be bought at retail. You don't even need lock picking tools for a car door. - 1 y
Yup!! That slim Jim that we liberated from the patrol cars trunk came in handy!! Good times

@OneViewpoint
I ordered my set on amazon
I know it’s legal
But there’s something about knowing that a locked door can keep me out or in that creates an ominous perception - 1 y
@DrPepper12 ,
Nope don’t need a slim Jim either. Think air pressure.

m 1 ydepending on the doors, I've done it before yes... but these are very easy to unlock
there's been sometimes in which... I just need the door to open, even if not exactly unlock it, and on that, I am quite capable... lmao20 Reply I used to be able to.. my crime years are well behind and I'm sure they make them differently now. Bit if I had to I'd just kick hard as fuck an inch or two below the door knob until the door frame and molding broke and the door is open. Viola. Thats French for "the door is fucking unlocked" don't look at her. Thats what it means.

1 yUnlocking a door without a key can be possible using methods like a credit card for spring bolt locks, bobby pins for simple locks, or professional tools—but it's essential to remember that such actions should only be done legally and with proper authorization. In emergencies, calling a locksmith is usually the safest and most responsible choice. 10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Depends on the lock and tools available. I can open with lock picking tools a normal lock. It's pretty easy. That's why I would recommend anyone to use real security locks.
