Would you rather have a Henry Rifle or a Martini–Henry?

I can't see any reason why I would want either one. I have a S & W Bodyguard 380 I carry for personal protection and a Browning 1911 frame 9mm at home for protection. At the restaurant/bar we have a barrel cut down Stevens 12 ga shotgun with 00 buckshot. Have never had to use any of them for anything other than practice and getting my CCL card which go figure is no longer required for residents in most cases. I was brought up in a home which believed in self protection and my dad and brothers are still hunters.

Depends. If it was say 1880 on open plains say in the mid west, Canada, africa and so on id take the Martini-Rifle as its got that range and the round is a real man stopper, id pair it up a webley or Adams revolver. The Henry is more of a carbine than a rifle.

If I had to pick for home defence id go with the Henry.

generally speaking... I would rather be in a situation in which a single-round would do it for me... rather than needing a fire-spitting and lots of praying and wishing for good luck... lol
