My cat is shedding fur, how can I reduce his shedding?

My mom says he should leave the house cuz there’s fur everywhere and he’s making the house dirty, But I don’t wanna him to leave, I love him so much, he’s been with me for 7 months, and I sleep with him, I like annoying him just to see his reactions, I’ve gotten so attached to him, and he’s litter trained, I don’t wanna him to leave, If he does I’ll cry, what should i do to stop him from shedding so much? İ really hope my cat doesn’t have to leave

- this is usually normal, cats just shed their fur... some breeds will do it more, others do it less, but they all will (yes, even the hairless ones)

- if it were to be an unusual shedding, they it could be a temporary mite problem, which you can take care of... or maybe a Taurine deficiency, this one can also be taken care of, check with a Vet to be sure

- get a brush, and keep brushing from time to time, this will REDUCE the amount of hair in your house... but never stop it, for hair around the house or at places, get a lint roller or a "sticky rubbery band" which can work just great, in my case, it does...

I do have THREE CATS and ONE DOG in my place... and "hair all over the place" is not really an issue... but I do clean a little bit here and there, from time to time and it solves the issue quite well

If he's being doing it the whole time I would suspect stress. Try giving him less attention and some safe space he can call his own.

If it's just started then he's just changing his coat for the winter, nothing to worry about.

Depends on the type of cats. Some hemilayans something… has long fur, my ex mother in law had 3 and used to take them out for shaving.

Get used to it.. I see my cat’s hair everywhere.. flying in the air 😄

but if the shedding seems abnormal take him to the vet..

Shave it! Not only does it stop the shedding, it'll humble it right out!!

Brush him yourself and get most of the hair out that way and there is less loose, dead hair to shed
