Bio oil? Cold Sore Scar?!

I have a cold sore scar at the top of my lip. It is bright red and noticeable. I want it back to the color of my lip...or at least less noticeable. Makeup doesn't stay on, and I hate wearing foundation. I have tried many creams but nothing seemed to do the trick. I am now using Bio Oil. Only because I have Googled it. I have been only using it for a couple days. And I don't know when I'm suppose to see the difference? Has anyone used Bio Oil? And can tell me about it, and everything? If it didn't work did something else work?

P.S How exactly do you use it?

I have been putting it on my finger then massaging it over the scar for 20 seconds. Is that okay? I'm scared my finger will because acne around it.

If you saw a scar on a girls top lip would you still wanna kiss her?

i know in the drugstore like walgreens in the medicine aisle they have specific creams for cold sores and stuff I think one is called abreva they look inexpensive you should try those

i personally tried bio oil on my face and it didn't do anything for me I think it made me break out more because its made of mineral oil which is a cheap commercial type of oil that clogs pores.

i would stick to using olive oil, rosehip oil and a scar cream like mederma or scar zone.

honestly this may sound totally crazy but it is cheap and worth a shot (in my opinion). try washing your face with oatmeal- especially the affected area. grab some dry oats in your hand and clench it. run warm water through your fingers to soak the oats and rub it all over your face. it helps with acne, redness, dryness, etc. if it doesn't help to reduce the size or redness than it will make your skin amazingly soft!

maybe daily for a couple weeks but its like $3 for an entire bag of it which would last you over a month. also you could go to a dermatologist if you had the money.

If it's a scar, it'll take months to fade. Timanu oil is very good as well.
