I was just listening to the Spice Girls song (Wannabe), and was

just wondering if anybody else finds that line in the song, both

funny and misleading?

I mean really, " If you wanna be my lover, you got get with my

friends. Make last forever, friendship never ends."

I'm fairly certain it doesn't actually mean "get with my friends", I

think it's just another misleading song lyric. But,I was just

wondering what everybody else thinks, when they here that line?

I always found that line very striking. Get with my friends, huh. I guess the innocent interpretation just means "get along with them". Or maybe they're promoting themselves as some kind of harem. It's a curious business, for sure.

It probably mean you need to accept her friends, not sleep with her friends. =P

I figured that, but songs don't always have logic and reason behind them, you what I mean?

Like for example, Rihanna, has a song called Birthday Cake, however it doesn't take long

to figure out, it's not about actually cake! Do get what I'm saying?

Why does it matter if her friends like you? I mean, I know there approval is important, but isn't

ulitmate up to the indivdual to decide who to date?

thats true it is up to the individual to decide. but her friends will have influence on her decision. girls talk about everything and if her friend brings up something true or false things can get complicated and loyalties get involved
